Are you guys so detached from reality that you can't see, for example, booing a US soldier because he is gay, is beyond what rational people do? The GOP audience did that. They actually booed a young man who risked his life for his country because of his sexual orientation. That is pure hatred and is just one example of many.

The conservative mind is truly bizarre.

The video is a satire of conservatives. Rational people think you guys have lost it. Seriously.

Watch the actual video, FL, not one edited by PMSNBC. No one booed the gay soldier. All there respectfully listened to him. They booed later at an Obama gays in the military policy reference.

But that won’t matter to someone who also takes a Romney quote completely out of context and even uses it for his signature. Obviously distortion suits that one’s purposes.

"The remarks came during a speech to the Nashua Chamber of Commerce this morning in which he was trying to explain that he would like people to have the option to pick and choose their medical insurance and get rid of plans that don’t meet their needs.

“I want individuals to have their own insurance,” he said. “That means the insurance company will have an incentive to keep you healthy. It also means if you don’t like what they do, you can fire them. I like being able to fire people who provide services to me.

“You know, if someone doesn’t give me a good service that I need, I want to say I’m going to go get someone else to provide that service to me.”

You have to admit, it's tone deaf as heck for a guy who made a living doing, among other things, buying companies, loading them up with debt, ruthlessly firing a ton of workers to cut costs to pay the debt back and his fees, then reselling what remained at a huge profit.

Besides, right wingers are STILL talking about Obama and the 57 states thing...  It's just normal partisan poking.  I'm sure Romney is sorry he said it, and we sure won't be hearing those words again on purpose.

No, FL’s quote is false. But Obama has been factually and honestly quoted regarding the 57 states.

CD,

Yes, some of the GOP audience booed the soldier when he said he was a homosexual. I'm not sure which video you saw, but the booing is clear an indisputable.

That is just one example. The GOP audience cheered when one announcer cited the number of people executed in Texas, as if that were something to be proud of.   Those are just two examples of many that rational human beings find offensive.

If Obama wins reelection, I have no doubt part of the reason will be because independent and moderate voters  are repulsed by the complete lack of basic human decency they have witnessed over and over in the GOP debates. In all seriousness, the far right of the GOP has lost it.

You’re chasing phantoms, FL.

BTW, I see you still shamelessly use the false Romney quote. You should change that – it destroys any credibility you may otherwise gain. I don't care, because I know the truth, as do most sentient people. But you should know that repeating blatant falsehoods does not bolster a deceptive narrative.

And you're living in a fantasy world if you honestly think some of the GOP audience (a tiny minority, but conservatives nonetheless) didn't boo the soldier when he mentioned he was gay. This is not debatable. It happened, whether you want to believe it or not.

Quote
The audiences' reactions first gained notoriety thanks to a few catcallers who made themselves the story, booing gay soldiers and jeering at people without health insurance. But the fever has spread, and since then, the debates have become sessions that remind one of the fight scenes from the movie "Gladiator." They cheer executions, boo the Golden Rule and join in with lusty approval or passionate derision whenever the battle is joined between candidate and moderator, depending upon who is doing the attacking. Along the way, some candidates have been broken by the audience's reaction, some have weathered it and some -- most notably Newt Gingrich -- have harnessed it, conducted it, used it to inject new life into their campaigns.

False Romney quote???  What the hell are you talking about? Romney did say he likes to fire people. Here it is.
