Many others also concluded the same thing I did, namely Stephen Hill was booed by a couple of troglodytes in the GOP because he is gay. You are in denial. That doesn't mean all conservatives are homophobic. But there were a handful who did boo him. My statement was accurate.

 

Did they boo the fact that the soldier was gay?  No.   They booed him asking about progress of gay soldiers in the military, or the fact that he's gay and is now allowed to openly serve.

I really wasn't aware that multiple murderers were common in the Occupy movement.  And I'm pretty sure that I've never seen any OWS person advocate for murder as a tactic, but you can point me to where they did.  I bet it's on their website. 

1) Civil disobedience.
2) Marches.
3) Signs
4) Move your money from big banks
5) Kill both parents by strangling them. 

There is, you say, multiple instances of OWS being involved in murder, so lets see your list!!!

Or maybe you're conflating ANY "crime" with the murder of two parents?  Yeah, that's legitimate.  I mean, vandalism is a lot like strangling your mom and dad.  So is jaywalking and speeding and running a red light, and underage drinking and pot smoking, and sleeping in a park overnight, and blocking banks and blockading ports and trains, and marching without a permit, and refusing police orders to disperse.  All of them are practically equivalent to murder, which is why of those thousands of arrests of Occupy people, virtually all of them were released after less than a weekend in captivity, which is the same way we treat mass murderers...  Pay a fine, release, generally drop all charges.  So conflating the two types of crimes is fine... 

BTW, depending on the question, and when it was asked, something like 30% to 60% of those polled support OWS or their goals.  Not sure how many kids in the U.S. but we can call it something around 100 MILLION ADULTS support OWS.  It's certainly mostly a bunch of kooks and crooks and criminal elements....  Dirty, too.  You know, really not clean AT ALL.  And hippies, dirty f'ing hippies.  All tens of millions of them..... So clearly associating with them, lots of murderers, it's no surprise that the kid killed his parents, given all the other murderers supportive of the movement.

If you ask me reality should always sway public opinion, at least more than made up reality you guys continue to attempt to sell.  In the end what it boils down to is your liberal talking points about "tax cuts" forget murder rape crime and disease, rich people get a break..the horror. Leviticus 19:15 says,’Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.'

I love the "liberal talking point" about tax cuts.  Look it up.  Every one of them is in favor of massive tax cuts to the already wealthy, and massive spending cuts on programs that benefit the poor, and presumably tax INCREASES on the middle class and poor as well (the cuts in revenue from tax cuts for the rich have to come from somewhere, and that leaves the poor and middle class).  Most of the GOP proposals eliminate estate taxes and eliminate taxes on capital gains and dividends.  Romney "just" cuts rates for the wealthy while preserving existing taxes on capital gains and dividends for a net 140,000 per person tax cut for those making > 1 million. 

It's not a talking point, it's called reality, facts, evidence.  if you want to show that the point is made up, do it.  Otherwise, deal with the proposals they have written down in black and white and promoted on the campaign trail. 

And if you want to quote scripture, don't stop the inquiry with "do not show partiality to the poor."  The rest of that is "or favoritism to the great' and any sane look at our system indicates that we're run by and for the great, and the GOP is determined to punish the poor with MASSIVE cuts in programs such as Medicaid and Medicare.

again re-read what I said Ncvol...I did not say the talking point was made up, I said that "tax cuts" is not the reason people question OWS and are against it. The "made up" stuff is when liberals accused Tea Partiers of being racist to sway public opinion of them... your argument was that public opinion of OWS should not trump their ideology...(when with the tea party it was make up something to derive public opinion because you dont want to really address their ideology) it's not their ideology that we are totally against, some of what they say is correct..however it's the methodology and ultimately the wrongness of what they want to achieve completely that is wrong, just as you paint the wealthy and big corporations with a broad brush here, as they do, as if all of them need to be taken down, this is wrong thinking, liberals want to throw the baby out with the bath water and then cry  because little Charles Augustus Lindbergh, Jr is missing.

But here's the problem.  If you don't agree with OWS methods, that's fine.  And if you want to complain about unfair media coverage of the Tea party, that's OK too.  I agree it was unfair at times, although they did have Fox and the entire right wing radio apparatus on their side, which is a nice offset.  But, in this case, I agree, "both sides do it."

Where I get frustrated is there is no power center pushing the OWS message.  The Tea party HATED the bailouts, but pretends the crisis was caused by gummint and poor people in the inner cities.  I can't recall the Tea party marching against the corruption at the highest levels of Wall Street, a lot of it, like robosigning and much more, and a ton of foreclosure fraud, the bogus ratings game, payola for ratings, GS and others allowing hedge funds to literally cherry pick the WORST loans, getting it rated AAA, selling this dog crap off to duped investors and then facilitating bets by the hedge fund that their cherry picked dog crap would go bad, AND IT DID. 

And the reason the Tea party didn't protest that might be you had a HUGE power center pushing its agenda.  Dick Armey and other hacks, all kinds of hedge fund money, Fox, right wing radio, CNBC is where it started - Wall Street central - and they're all standard issue "conservatives" renamed Tea partiers.  Wall Street loots billions, and what is the Tea party response - tax cuts and deregulating Wall Street!!  Well gosh, is that a surprise for something that began when Wall Street cheerleader from CNBC, Rick f'in Santelli, which survives, literally, on Wall Street money, is the "spark" for the movement, called for from the Chicago friking board of trade? 

Point is there is lots of documented crimes and the right wing ignores it.  So if the message of OWS is legitimate, and you don't like the messenger, in this case you've silenced the message.  I don't think that's a mistake.  The "liberal" media, if it covers it, does it briefly.  They're owned by and get their ad dollars FROM the big companies and the big banks, and for profit entities do not bite the hands that feed them. 

Sorry, but to me, the kind of thing you posted, the whole them of them being MURDERERS!!! and dirty f'in hippies, etc. is just what the PR firms who were paid big money to bury the scandal likely dreamed up.  And if it's not what the PR crisis management firms ordered to de-legitimize the protests, nothing they could do would work BETTER.

I saw a story over the weekend where an OWS protestor in DC used a brick on a police officer. Then, I noticed the pictures in the story of people cleaning up after OWS DC was forced to leave. Why in the world are the cleanup crews dressed in decon suits?
