Recruiting is pretty much over and programs are working on their 2013 class.  This past weekend, Saban had on of the top prospects in SC.  Below is what the son's father said about Saban's recruitment of his son.

"They have a great program," Butch Crosby Sr. said. "Coach Saban is a honest coach. He recruits you like the old days and I love that part about him. He doesn't promise you anything but hard work and an education. And a championship."

You have to appreciate a straight forward, honest approach.  I like that about Coach Saban but I still hope we get this guy next year.

Obviously, Butch Crosby Sr. is a liar.

Our very own coach Dooley can promise hard work, an education, and a championship.  We win the SEC this year...mark it down.

You're talking about Girl's basketball, right? If so, then I agree!

I like your optimism Shimmy but I believe this could be Dooley's last season if he does not come close to meeting your expectations.  I do think Tennessee's schedule is accommodating for a good run in the SEC East next season.  You play 2 of the toughest teams from the East Division in September, Florida @ home on Sept. 15th but Georgia on the road on Sept. 29th.  Also, you play a non SEC opponent the week before the Georgia game and they have to play Vanderbilt and Missouri in September before they play you.  Also, Florida has to play on the road @ Texas AM the week before they play you.

In October, SC and Florida have to play LSU, each other, and Georgia in a 3 game stretch.  We play Georgia in week 1 of October and Florida plays Georgia in Week 3 of October.  Tennessee has to play Alabama and Mississippi State in October so IMO the winner of the September Georgia / Tennessee game should be winning the East by the end of October if the schedule is helpful.

The weekly schedule is below for 2012....

Sept. 15
Alabama at Arkansas
Florida at Tennessee

Sept. 22
LSU at Auburn
Kentucky at Florida
Vanderbilt at Georgia
Missouri at South Carolina

Sept. 29
Ole Miss at Alabama
Arkansas vs. Texas A&M
Tennessee at Georgia
South Carolina at Kentucky

Oct. 6
Mississippi State at Kentucky
Arkansas at Auburn
LSU at Florida
Georgia at South Carolina
Texas A&M at Ole Miss
Vanderbilt at Missouri

Oct. 13
Alabama at Missouri
Kentucky at Arkansas
Auburn at Ole Miss
Florida at Vanderbilt
South Carolina at LSU
Tennessee at Mississippi State

Oct. 20
Alabama at Tennessee
Auburn at Vanderbilt
South Carolina at Florida
Georgia at Kentucky
LSU at Texas A&M

Oct. 27
Ole Miss at Arkansas
Texas A&M at Auburn
Florida vs. Georgia (Jacksonville)
Kentucky at Missouri
Tennessee at South Carolina
Mississippi State at Alabama

Nov. 3
Alabama at LSU
Missouri at Florida
Ole Miss at Georgia
Vanderbilt at Kentucky
Texas A&M at Mississippi State

Nov. 10
Texas A&M at Alabama
Arkansas at South Carolina
Georgia at Auburn
Mississippi State at LSU

___________________________________________________________________________________

Ranking the SEC recruiting classes
1. ALABAMA

SIGNEES: 27

NATIONAL RANKINGS: 1 (247 Sports); 1 (Rivals); 2 (Scout)
