You gotta love it!

Question 1: when does Corzine officially start working for the Obama administration?

Question 2: will OWS even notice or care?

At one point, Corzine was once considered a possible candidate for secretary of the Treasury Department. "President Obama once hailed [Corzine] as an 'honorable man' and one of his 'best partners' in the White House," ABC reported.

I wonder why that half-million didn't "evaporate" like the rest of the money Corzine put his paws on.

I imagine the OWS people think of Corzine about the same way they LOVE Geithner, and Rahm, and Daley, and Summers....

Really, if you're asking whether the OWS folks will notice, it seems like you might should get out of the right wing bubble.

Corzine is a crook.  Hope he rots in some jail.  We libruls all know it and recognize it.  I'll be glad to point to librul sites that discuss him specifically and the rotten financial system more generally.

It's simple.  Corzine is part of the 1%.  Really, the top .01%, but rhetorically speaking, the top 1%, plus a member of Wall Street.  The message of the OWS people is the country is run by and for the benefit of the 1%, specifically those tied to Wall Street, and THAT is a problem, hence the nationwide protests.  They don't say the problem is the country is run by and for the REPUBLICAN 1%, but just... the 1%.  And the purpose of OWS is to put pressure on republicans AND democrats such as the President to prosecute those crooks and put them in jail, where they belong.

And you guys on the right call the OWS folks dirty f'ing hippies and commies who spend all day throwing feces around, and lump them in with mass murderers.  In other words, those who are shining the brightest light on the corruption are repeatedly marginalized and mocked by the right wing.  Those of us on the left cheer that they AT LEAST have the right villains in their sites.

The 1.2 billion was stolen from his customers.  The $500,000 represented profits they'd already legally skimmed off the top of customers in fees and such, in other words, "their" (Corzine and friends') money.

And obviously, the way to sock it to these Wall Street crooks is to take their tax rate on gambling with other people's money to zero... and provide gigantic incentives for more gambling with other people's money.  Vote Republican!!

Another observation - clearly in this case self regulation worked well, as always.  Thank goodness regulations meant to put up a bigger firewall between depositors and gambling were delayed...

I look forward to any links or protest pictures that show OWS even recognizes the money given by Corzine to Obama and/or their condemnation for it.

How does it feel? We have been told repeatedly by you and FL that words have consequences. FYI, I think the dude that killed his parents would have done so whether he was in Occupy Oakland or not.

I'm not sure if they've complained yet about the bundling specifically, but here is a search:

corzine site:occupywallst.org

And one hit of the 304:

$1.2 billion -- that's grand grand grand grand larceny.

Oh, and his buddy Obama is doing nothing about it of course, since Obama is an Uncle Tom for the corporations.

It is important to remember that we are fighting an enormous beast in our government and the banks, all of who are in bed together. The system is so broken and corrupt, the stench is unbelievable. The fact that Corzine can be walking around as a free man is disgusting:

Etc.  Bunch of Obamabots if you asked me....  Can't find any mention of Corzine other than those 304 entries....

Read the comments as well.  I briefly looked at a few and it's all "OBAMA 2012! HE's OUR SAVIOR!!"

If there are some "words" coming from OWS about killing parents or using the Second Amendment to take back the country, etc. then, first of all, I'd like to see them, and second, I absolutely condemn them.

But that's not the point. You're complaining that the OWS have blinders on when it comes to democrats.  It's because you live in a bubble that you believe that because you're wrong, and easily proved wrong, do the search.  And if you agree that Wall Street is a corrupt den of thieves, then it's fine to not ally with OWS, since they're dirty f'in hippie socialists commies marxists anarchists and did I mention dirty, and they have sex!  But point me to clean cut real american conservatives who are highlighting the corruption on a national basis.  The Tea party didn't like the bailouts, but they all want ZERO tax rates for Jamie and Lloyd, because they're so corrupt we shouldn't tax their gains AT ALL.   Besides, the real problem was poor people and CRA - the banks?  Hoocoodanode???!!!!  Innocent victims of big gummint!!

Tea Party:  There is corruption on Wall Street.
OWS - Corzine and Lloyd and Jamie, GS, BOA, JPM, are crooks/criminal organizations.

With the tea party there is some generalized condemnation of the system, and the banks and government and they name DEMOCRATS as the perps.  But for the most part, there is no specific targeted outrage other than Obama and those tied directly to him.

OWS marched to these people's houses, called them out by name, call out the banks, by name, had a week dedicated to moving your money out of the crooked institutions, by name.  Lots of them were and are MAJOR Obama donors, like Corzine. There's a fundamental difference in those approaches.  And that's why the Tea party is largely not any threat whatsoever to the power structure - hence the Tea party proposal to reduce the crooks' tax rates to zero.  You can't believe Wall Street is corrupt, and defend the hedge fund giveaway... sorry.

Hey NVC,

Why is Corzine not in jail for absconding with $1,200,000,000? Is it because he is a DemLib?

That is certainly cute and all but back to the question at hand. Why is Jon Corzine not in jail for absconding with over $1,200,000,000.00 of investors hard-earned savings? Break it down for us simpletons that do not have the talking/thinking points from Axelrod.

PS - Theses investors he looted ranged from widows living on pensions, orphanages, and micro not for profit foundations serving those in utter poverty in communities around the nation to huge institutional investors like colleges and universities, pension funds, hospital authorities, power districts. Give us one of those patented condescending Axelrod talking/thinking point robot response you are so infamous for giving.

Dang NCVol, you have me convinced. There is no way in hell I would vote for Obama with all of that corruption and ties to Wall Street. How about you?

If there are some "words" coming from OWS about killing parents or using the Second Amendment to take back the country, etc. then, first of all, I'd like to see them, and second, I absolutely condemn them.

I guess all of the calls by OWS for violence may have paid off to a few sick minds, eh? Tell me, how are the guy in Norway and the Giffords shooter tied in ANY way to Tea "Baggers"? Then tell me if there are any connections to OWS and the Oakland dude killing his parents? And yet you and FL can say "words have consequences" when it comes to some, but not others. AMAZING!!!

Great, don't vote for Obama.  Instead, you can vote for "Corporations are people, my friend" Romney.  That will be a great big improvement!

In a way I sort of admire the right wing.  They've abandoned any pretense at all of acting on behalf of the 99%.  There is literally NOTHING that is on the agenda of the Chamber boys that the GOP doesn't openly embrace.  So at least when you vote for Romney, you know what you're getting - an unapologetic advocate for Wall Street and the plutocracy.

And I am sure glad the right wing marginalizes the one group that is pointing the finger at and calling out the crooks.  That's a great strategy for giving the crooks a PR pass!

Seriously, if you're a PR hack for Goldman Sachs, or Bank of America, and don't appreciate people calling you a criminal organization, and can back up the charges with a laundry list of evidence, how do you deal with those allegations?  Well, the easiest way is to put the emphasis on the group highlighting inconvenient facts, so the attention is on the dirty f'ing hippies and how they're dirty, really dirty, and have sex, and they're dirty, and they aren't clean, so don't worry about the corruption rotting the system, those people are dirty f'ing hippies!!! And they hate America!  Marxists!! Communists!!!

BTW, if you want to allege there was some or a lot of this with the Tea party, I can't argue.  It's a bit interesting, though, that the Tea party didn't arise when we bailed out Wall Street.  It arose, in the form we now know it, out of the Chicago Board of fricking Trade, when a reporter for Wall Street's Official Propaganda and Market Cheerleader Network, CNBC, pointed out a proposal to spend some of those hundreds of billions used to bail out the banks to give homeowners some relief.

Bail out Wall Street?  Tsk, tsk, bad, bad...

Bail out a human being outside the top .01%?  OUTRAGE!!!!  REVOLUTION!!!!  BURN IT DOWN!!!! SECOND AMENDMENT REMEDIES!  TEA PARTY!!!!!!!

What is funny is you post all of this stuff about how Obama is an enemy to OWS and how Wall Street is in his pocket, (literally, that IS true), then you say he is worthy of your vote. The left-of-center mind is indeed a curious thing.

I FULLY expect Corzine not to be prosecuted and to receive a job in the Obama WH any day now.

BTW, I like your rabbit holes in your last post and providing defenses for arguments NOBODY is making.
