Or maybe not so much:

Bad Economy Forces Welfare Agency Hiring Spree

Economic woes have forced at least one city agency into a hiring spree -- adding more workers to process the demand for food stamps and other assistance.

The Human Resources Administration added more than 100 workers last July and plans to hire another 100 to serve the burgeoning number of New Yorkers applying for food stamps and rent assistance at their offices.

I guess Obama will not go down in history as the food stamp president for nothing.

Looks like Georgia may have to add new jobs to process food stamps.

Cash-Strapped Georgia College Students Turning To Food Stamps

Tuition hikes, combined with the increased cost of general living, have left many college students more strapped for cash than ever before.

All hail the food stamp President:

Quoting a COLLEGE SENIOR food stamp recipient, from the article:

Nice.

Future quote for this person at their job: "Do you want fries with that? They are applicable".

Sas is right. There is good news, actually GREAT news, on the job front. We are no longer losing 750,000 jobs/month (the last time Republicans controlled the White House)!!!

More good news on the labor front.  While 240k (soon to be adjusted down) found work in January...  A record 1.2 MILLION people dropped out of the workforce in the last month.

Yeah, the labor market is on the road to recovery.  When everyone drops out the workforce, unemployment will go to 0%!!!!

Maybe Michelle Obama could hire some more support staff and help out the job market.

Hint here, the vertical line up wasn't a sneeze when the chart preparer was drawing it.

Here is a prediction/bet: enough people will drop out of the labor force by Nov. 2012 to get the rate under 8%. Any takers?

At this rate, it'll go below 8% by June.  Sucker bet.

Labor force participation rate around 63%, 30-year low.  More details on those 240k jobs created, the details in the report yield that about 113k of those were "low wage jobs"....  Businessmen and professionals turning in their brief cases for aprons and work gloves.
