Noticed this on the ticker:

Quote
Newt Gingrich tells CNN why he didn't call Mitt Romney to congratulate him on his Florida primary victory.

Said Gingrich: "They then out spent me five to one to quote, 'destroy Newt Gingrich.' You know, I think that that doesn't deserve congratulations. I think that's reprehensible. I think it's dishonest and I think it's shameful."

In other words, "My $billionaire didn't give me enough money to go against all of Romney's $millionaires and billionaires."  Boo fricking hoo...

Yeah, it's hard to take Newt seriously when he complains about Romney wanting to destroy him. That's been his modus operandi for years, dating back to his attempt to destroy Bill Clinton. What the hell did he think he was doing to Romney in South Carolina?

Pot meet kettle.

Newt has had nothing done to him (worse) than what he hasn't already done to himself or someone else.

Anybody who has an ounce of sympathy for Newt is a complete sucker.  I bet they believe he's a true conservative and not part of the establishment either.

Newt did not attack Romney in SC.  He only asked him to release his tax return because if he had something to hide, it needed to be disclosed now and not after he wins the nomination.

Romney was the leader in SC until his tax return became an issue and he showed weakness during 2 debates.  Newt won despite being outspent 3 to 1.

IMO, If Romney were still hiding his income tax return, he would have lost Florida and all future primaries.  He only released one, Newt ought to press him to be like his father and release more.
