SanFran, who are these old bitter guys you keep referring to?

Why do you feel the need to fight windmills? Seems to me like everyone is happy with the staff.

Here's the key to that story:

Quote
Browning would still be paid by Syracuse, where he signed a multi-year deal, according to Tom Dienhart of Rivals.com, which reported Tuesday that Browning was considering a move to Tennessee.

I'm sure Bama Fever will be chiming in about UT skirting the rules.

I am one of these guys that understand he is 33 yrs old and was never a real HC or an stand alone coordinator in college. He got the opprotunity because of who his Dad is who is 68 yrs old. His Dad sdaid he can coach them up but the strength of the staff is recruiting

PV, Maybe it's because you're an old fart like myself, but you seem to be too hung up with the age thing.  I think there are now two NFL coaches (Indianapolis and Denver?) younger than Kiffin.

As far as age goes it can fall 2 different ways. The players can identify with his youth. On the other hands how will those Momma's react to his youth. One thing I can tell you being the father of 2 boys and 1 deceased. The relationship between a Mother and her son is different andI wonder how many Mothers will trust their son's to a guy so young?

Wasn't Doug Dickey like 34 years old when he took over the UT program? The only people that get caught up in age are usually old farts. Age is such a minor aspect. Experience is more of an indicator than age, IMHO>

I think Vince Dooley was in his early 30s as well.    If old age is that important, why didn't Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden play in the BCS Championship game?
