I guess we don't have enough abortion in our own country. Now we can once again fund agencies world wide that promote abortion as population control. And to think some were shocked at the Hitler comparisons.

roust,

i hate to sound pessimistic but this sort of thing plus the pressuring by hillary and barry on Israel
to give back land given to her by God (see west bank), puts the USA in a rather precarious spot.

"While it is true that the taking of life not yet born or in it’s final stages is sometimes marked by a mistaken sense of altruism and human compassion it cannot be denied that such a culture of death, taken as a whole, betrays a completely individualistic concept of freedom, which ends up by becoming the freedom of " the strong" against the weak who have no choice but to submit".

The Dark Lord's FIRST administrative act was to fund abortions.

Think about it.

I am not suprised that is one of the many reasons I did not vote for him. I will not say I am not GLAD he was elected.....

Single issue reasoning for supporting any candidate is wrong IMO.

As for supporting any restraint on Israel I say go with what is in the USA's best interest. Not special interests such as the Evangelicals and Jewish Lobbyists...

not a spit worth of difference between peolosi obama biden rhambo and reid and the prophets of baal that encouraged the hebrew ancients to offer their babies as sacrifice to baal before Elijah open a can on them. in fact, modern liberals are nothing but a pack of pagan prophets with a godless religiosity all their own.

AV
Obama's election really does not improve job security in my industry one bit  We might receive more money as far as Veteran's Benefits for housing with Obama over McCain but that is debatable. As far as work I say that McCain supported building new nuclear powerhouses and that the employment opps for a strapping well trained craftsmen to work in the Nuclear Industry woukld be much better compensated and the numbers a wash.

Under Bush Veterans Benefit funding was cut to the bone and many veteran hospitals set under funded and a damn disgrace. One of the features of the VA was the promise of Fair and available housing for returniong vets. This means they get to go to the front of the line for Public assisted housing and we have to hold aside units for them, especially disabled Vets. Money will be increased for both of the above under Obama.

Lots of Public Housing funding(majority) deals with folks with disabilities and the various orgs that pay to support such things. City, County and State pay for the majority of this funding For redevelopment and folks such as our own Corker made his fortune CONTRACTING and spending this money under a REPUBLICAN admin. Like I said most of HUD money comes for support of folks with Disabilities and directly from the same FEDERAL APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTE that funds Veterans Benefits...

Funding for Veterans up 27%, But Democrats Call It A Cut

Also, from 2007 to 2008, Veteran's Benefits increased 15% year over year.

leaders of veterans' organizations and a union that represents VA workers are voicing strong criticism of Bush's fiscal 2005 budget plan. They assert that the budget would only worsen the backlog in processing disability claims, reduce the number of VA nursing home beds just as the number of veterans who need long-term care is swelling and force some veterans to pay a fee simply to gain access to the VA health care system.

In a statement issued shortly after the budget was released, Edward S. Banas Sr., commander in chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, called the VA's health care spending proposal "a disgrace and a sham."

VA officials reply that spending for health care will increase under the budget, but that tough choices had to be made because of the soaring budget deficit and limits on spending.

According to John Gage, president of the American Federation of Government Employees, the VA is calling for a reduction of 540 full-time jobs in the Veterans Benefits Administration, which handles disability, pension and other claims by veterans.

The following snapshots from across the nation reflect the stark reality of the budget shortfall on veterans’ access to safe, high quality care.

Failure to fund at the requested amount is a ’cut’ regardless of whether the final approved amount equates to a net increase in spending or not.
