When I saw the thread, the first to come to mind for me
is Braveheart. It is the first one you listed, Taylor.

You also listed some of my other favorites like Fletch and Airplane.

Some others for me:

Police Acadamy
Iron Man
Fantastic 4
Freedom Writers
Remember the Titans
Hoosiers
The Pink Panther movies with Peter Sellers (of course).

There are others I'm sure.

Yes, Braveheart was simply outstanding.  Seeing some other lists (like yours) makes it obvious that I left out some favorites.  I meant to include the following sports themed ones:  Field of Dreams, Remember the Titans, Hoosiers, Rocky, Bull Durham, Eight Men Out, Hoop Dreams, and The Color of Money (loosely sports)

It's a Wonderful Life
Sands of Iwo Jima
Hoosiers
Used Cars
Take This Job and Shove It (David Keith's greatest role!!)
Heartbreak Ridge
Hollywood Knights
Animal House
Cool Hand Luke
Christmas Vacation
The Great Santini
Open Range

I'm still upset that David Keith (Take this Job) and the guy who played Big Jim in Used Cars were not even nominated for best supporting actor for their roles.

But the biggest travesty of all time is that Robert Wuhl was not even considered for Best Actor for his portrayal of Newbomb Turk in Hollywood Knights.  His rendition of Volare' is one of the greatest moments in cinematic history!!

These omissions have rendered the Oscars, the Emmys, and the Golden Globes as worthless as the Heisman Trophy has been ever since Dewey Warren lost out to Gary Beban in 66!!
