Great musician and born again.

I just hope they can finally put this Skynard thing to rest.

What an incredible band. It's sad that many miss the wonder of LS because of their fascination to rednecks. The song writing and musicianship were great. The clever lyrics and simple vocal arrangements were classic.

I didn't even get into LS until college, when I began exploring different genres to improve my song writing. I just always assumed in my younger years that this was "redneck" music. You quickly see that there was some magic when these guys got together. There is so much more going on than rebel flags and big belt buckles.
