I'd say at this point Drunkel Jerry was better and it is a toss up between Buzz and new money McMansion shameless self promoter Pearl.

Bruce won 5 to 7 more games with Buzz's players versus what Buzz would have accomplished.

Pearl must bring in more guards with the preference toward a couple of shooters. Our guard play this year has been poor to horrible.

Without Coach Pearl, Tennessee BB would have 7-8,000 fannies in the seats and no upgrading in the TBA.  UTBB would be the same boring garbage it was 10 years ago.  I know because I was there.

How many do you think will be there next Wed. night v. Miss. State at 9:00?  He's getting closer to 7-8,000 than he is to 20,000.

It is the same  /UTFootball/ as under Jerry Green. It has the feel of UT football for the last five years.

This last recruiting class was full of athletes but had very few, if any basketball players.     The current freshman class can't guard anyone, can't shoot, certainly can't hit free throws, and has NO mental toughness.

Please recruit at least one person who can actually shoot a basketball this year.

UT basketball has been so irrelevant for it's entire history why all the hand wringing? What Pearl has done for UTBB is remarkable. Even the national pundits are talking about UTBB in March where as 4 years ago, UTBB was over before the SEC season began. I don't think UT fans are expecting a championship every year. Most UT fans understand this. It appears the only ones all upset that Pearl is not winning national championships are rivals from other schools.

Pearl has made some talent mistakes but it's not something that can't be overcome. Anyone that expected this team to not have some serious issues either have an agenda or don't know BB. The biggest concern I have with this team is the lack of effort that you see from time to time. Pearls teams have always played hard except for this years edition.

I will take where UTBB is at the moment compared to where it has been the last 100 years. UTBB is not broke...UT football is what needs to be fixed.
