I assume that their faith and the wholesome image thing is real. I remember there was a fuss over the MTV video music awards last year because Russell Brand poked a lot of fun at them for their vows to wait until marriage to have sex. He also called George W Bush a retard that night. He kept things stirred up.

I saw the Jonas Bros interviewed on Fox over the weekend. The nice guy thing seems to be real.

Yeah. That seemed real at the time too, and it probably was. Perhaps all the craziness, fame, and money was more than she could handle. Hopefully she's turning things around. At least it seems like most of her recent pub has been positive.

I don't mind sharing this now that I have left the station, but I used to be an on-air personality for the pop radio station in Knoxville. I did a full-time show for right at four years and I also scheduled the music.
Having said that, I can absolutely "get" why the Jonas Brothers are big-time. Nobody expects you to like them. You aren't their demo. Just try to imagine why little kids might like them. They are fairly attractive young people who actually play their own instruments, and produce decent pop rock. Who I don't "get" is Miley Cyrus. She sounds like a redneck man who has some kind of an air bubble in his throat. She isn't that cute, and she's not even that nice of a person.
But trust me, even for a radio station that has a prime demo of W18-34, stuff like this still gets more requests than anything else.

It's good to know at least it isn't an act with them. And I'm actually pulling for Britney Spears to get her life turned around, especially for her kids.
