I was on college spring break in Key West.  I had no clue what was going on except that we experienced high winds, and torrential rain.  There was no snow starting in FL on I95 all the way up to Virginia.  Further inland, there was lots of snow (3 feet in some locations).  Where were you and how did you survive "the storm of the century?"

I was upstairs at the Long Branch throwing snow balls at people at O'Charleys.

We were without power for five days with a house full of kids (4) and I was one MAD sob.

Where did you go?  Did you even hear what was going on, or did you find out the day you headed home?

I got out of bed, glanced out the window and had to do a double take to believe it. I even woke my wife (she wasn't happy about that) but after she awoke couldn't believe it either.  We were out of power for a couple of days but enjoyed it.  We had a constant fire in the fireplace, ate sandwiches for lunch, cooked a lot on the gas grill, etc.  I had a four wheel drive though so we could get out when we wanted to but we were newlyweds and really enjoyed the time at home.

Watching UT get beat by 60. We actually had power by midday and had our cable back on that night. We were lucky.

You were very lucky.  I was actually snowed in at the SEC tourney in Lexington because the interstate was closed in Berea.
