We are not a Christian nation...what did he say that was not true?  NOTHING!  The USA was founded to be a secular nation with many different religions and beliefs.  Jewish, muslim, buddhist, even atheist..... etc...etc...

You are such a fool lemming...he is Christian..you have the fanatical extreme right-wing talking points down pat, don't you?

Neither he nor I said YOU were not a Christian...just that this is not a theocracy and not a Christian nation.  This is s multi-religious nation, where ALL religions are honored and respected...supposedly......except by you fanatical evangelical types.....even though the majority of citizens in the USA proclaim to be Christians...this COUNTRY and the government is NOT Christian.  They are non-denominational so to speak.

BTW...Obama won...time for your whiney snits to get over it and quit crying and whining and moaning.  If you extreme, fanatical reich-wingers would come up with something substantial that would actually help this country, maybe you would not be so un-important and become credible again.

It REALLY must piss you fanatical reich-wingers off to know that we now have a President who is bringing some respect and honor back to the USA after the last eight years of a president who did almost everything he could to destroy those things.

OK....LTC....I guess you and Hussein know more than.....

Democratic President Harry S. Truman to Pope Pius XII in 1947 wrote... "This is a CHRISTIAN nation"....without right wing talking points...

Democratic President Woodrow Wilson stated during his campaign..."America was born a CHRISTIAN nation."...America was born to exemplify that devotion to the tenets of righteousness which are derived from the tenets of the Holy Scripture"......also without right wing talking points.....

The First Supreme Court Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, John Jay wrote..."Providence has given to our people the choice of their ruler, and it is his duty, as well as the privilidge and interest of our CHRISTIAN nation to select and prefer Christians as their rulers"....

You've offered opinions of politicians, and a quote from a private letter of a SC Justice.  It's the same as YOU saying we were founded as a "Christian" nation.  Has no relevance other than you stated it.

The actual assignment is to find something in the founding documents.

Well NC....I like Truman's, Wilson's, Jay's and Kenny D's opinions better than those of Hussein and LTC.....And those opinions rendered by U.S. Supreme Court Justices, at least as far as I can tell, seem to have quite a bit of relevence...
