Congrats,
I will talk to you in 16-17 years to see how happy you are then!!
No kidding---I'm not looking forward to the teenage years--especially for the daughter.  Ha.  Having a son is just another reminder that life's worldly possessions are really meaningless in the scheme of things.  I'll preface this by saying that I know this will sound a bit corny, but I honestly can't think of anything I'd rather have than the love I have/receive from my two kids.  Having my own family and a healthy newborn son (and wife) is the best Easter gift I could ever imagine.  OK, I'll stop now.  Go Vols!

PS  I hope everyone has a safe and happy Easter weekend.  Life is indeed very good.

What a blessing from the Lord. Congratulations!

What a responsibility we have when the Lord entrust us with a life to train up.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is older he will not depart from it.

If our parents today only had as much zeal to train up their children in the way of the Lord, as they do to see them score touchdowns and hit home runs. We have fallen pray to the ways of this world, thinking that what matters are trophies, awards, and "making something of ourselves" in this world. But what good does it do for a man to gain the whole world and lose his very soul.
Roust,
Thanks for putting things into perspective.  Very well said, and I appreciate your comments.

Taylor congratulations to you and your wife.  Children are the greatest thing to come out of a marriage.  I wish you much happiness raising those blessings.

Taylor,

I have a daughter. And if your son ever comes near my daughter, I will personnally cut off this entire branch of your family tree.

Just practicing for when my daughter thinks she is old enough to start dating.

In all seriousness, congrats!

I have a daughter too....I don't want to even think about when that first boy comes knocking on the door for a date.  She will always be my little girl and I'll always be protective of her.  :)
