Word is there is a case of swine flu reported at West Valley Middle School.  I certainly hope not as my son has a golf tournament tomorrow that WVMS is supposed to play in. The way panic sets in, they're libel to cancel the whole thing.  Something is going on.  Last week, when Montgomery Bell Academy found out they had a suspected case of it, they pulled their baseball team off the field right before it started, but they failed to let Webb School know about it and they continued on with a tennis match against MBA.

I'm glad the news people bothered to tell us exactly where that school is.

All Knox County students should have rec'd a recorded phone call from the Supt's office last night explaining what was going on.

Link, the baseball game was halted because the Davidson county health dept called and told them to shut it down.   Not sure why the tennis match was not halted.   Maybe, they figured you Webbies were tough enough to handle it.

I know that now, after looking it up online. My wife has lived in this county all her life and had never heard of that school, let alone know where it is. Bad reporting.

Then I guess it didn't really matter where the school is located, did it?

If there was a case of the SF, it needed to be reported:  What, when, where............It would make sense to avoid that area only until the SF departs the area.
I don't go around crowds just being safe.  I don't want the stuff for sure.

I don't go to that area. If it was on my end of town, then I'd probably think twice about where to go. FYI, Bluegrass also has a reported case. Seems like that end of the town is the one with it.
