Good stuff by all. My over planning has again exceeded by grasp, but I am at the stage where we are packing extra things we don't need. That could be a thread topic by itself.
I know several of you prefer the Gulf for beach vacations. Is it worth the extra drive? My Destin visit was knocked out by Katrina.
My buddy & his wife got back from Israel and he said they had a great trip. He loved Jerusalem and its historic elements. Unfortunately deleted a lot of his pics. He said Tel Aviv was OK. He enjoyed seeing the fort at Massada and floating in the Dead Sea. He said the Galilee area is beautiful.
Plumber,
Was your son down there fomenting a revolution from Costa Rica?
I will have to give your uncle the Breeder's Cup Award--he is right up there with Travis Henry and RockyTop!
Gus' head hurts at times. After my stuff, he is usually exhausted.

Sewanee,
I didn't mean to call you out. Are you guys at the stage where you are arguing over over how many times you have done that trip?
Jeff,
I will let you know how it turns out and provide any information you or anyone might need down the road. We are flying into Kalispell and staying 5 nights in the park. I have never heard anyone complain about a trip to Hawaii and I can say the same about Glacier, so it must be nice. My wife and I loved Yellowstone & we tried to do both this time, but could not. We are going to drive down to Missoula Saturday and see the National Bison range and historic Missoula where SewaneeVol's brother and also our friend's nephew went to school. Then we will head up Route 83 which I think goes through the area where "A River Runs Through It" was set and go into the park. SoonerBrockyTop told me about Big Fork, a little town, on the Flathead Lake and we intend to look at it. We are going to tour the "Going to the Sun" road via Red Jammer one day. They say the wildflowers are everywhere there right now and that it could snow any day in the summer. I intend to teach a couple of those mountain goats a few Yoga balancing poses.
We really enjoyed Phoenix and the Grand Canyon back in the spring. The desert was much prettier than I imagined. I think everyone should be forced to see the Grand Canyon!
Gus,
I think Chicago would be a great place to visit.
Xander,
You had a better vacation than Michael Jackson.
Not Working,
I used to go with a group of friends to Cumberland Island which is north of Jacksonville, but never to Jacksonville. We would sea camp--no cars, but plenty of armadillos and racoons. That was a lot of fun.
RockyTop,
I will go to Spain with you. Be sure to order the Royale with Cheese in Amsterdam.
NCVol,
A college buddy, whose nephew I mentioned above, doesn't remember, but he told me once that his ideal job would be to travel around and talk to people about how they spend their leisure time.

He and his wife went to Nova Scotia and liked it. He and I went to Maine years ago and had a great time. Went down the Penobscot and camped at Acadia and dined on cheap lobster cooked in a camp pot. Some friends told us about a restaurant in Booth Bay that had a Downeaster in front of the restaurant that was not unlike Shoney's Big Bob. Great place to visit.
The Southwest is nice and work a trip or two IMO.
Taylor,
The Outer Banks are great. That college buddy I mentioned to NCVol and his wife went to the Outer Banks about 20 years ago and told me about where they stayed in Buxton near the Lighthouse. I have gone 4 times since then and stayed in the same place--Cape Hatteras Court Motel. That thing has been moved around on the property about 3 times or more because of hurricanes. We liked Bubba's Barbeque. The friend's wife who is going to Glacier with us has an uncle who has a house on Ocrakoke. Nice guy. I told him I would be brown nosing him for a long time, but failed to follow through.

MRM,
Congratulations on the new one. I am sure that is an even better adventure.
BTW, Mike Hamilton would probably get her started on some fine upstairs tickets.

I will try to post some pics when I return.
