BTW, we've been ignoring public executions by our "friends" the Saudis for a decade or more for all kinds of minor infractions.  Not too long ago, the Saudis convicted a woman who was raped for adultery.  We did manage to pressure them to overturn that injustice, but you must admit, it's just a symptom of the culture that brutalizes women.

Of course, that the House of Saud embraces much of the radical Muslim agenda (in part as payoff for promises not to challenge the royal family) and their funding of madrassas and anti-american groups all across the globe isn't a subject for polite conservative discussion since they are our "allies" and all kinds of uppity ups in both parties are getting rich as we speak off Saudi oil, so we forgive them their horrific abuses since they have the good sense to pay off the people who matter in our government and cut our private sector oligarchs in on their profits.  

I've never understood why Iran and Iraq before them didn't notice how LITTLE it took to buy off the U.S.  Just funnel a billion here or there to the right people and voila, human rights abuses and supporting terrorists is OK!!!  

P.P.S.  I wonder if the real sin of Iran is threatening to go off the dollar for their oil sales?  Those with a functioning memory might recall that one of Saddam's last acts was a similar move.  Interesting.

Actually it is. As I have pointed out countless times, OMG is a coward. He is the political forum's version of "Small Mike." A drive-by poster who makes outrageous comments and then disappears.

Since he is a neocon, my guess is another preemptive military strike would be his answer. It worked so well in Iraq, let's do it again! Like you said, I'm sure the Iranians will welcome us with open arms.
