Which schools have the most in the NFL Hall of Fame?

Hall of Famers by College

Southern California (11)
Notre Dame (10)
Michigan (8)
Alabama (7)
Illinois (6)
Minnesota (6)
Ohio State (6)
Oregon (6)
Syracuse (6)
Penn State (5)

Really sad to see such a great program like Tenn have only 2. That ranks very low. Granted there are several that will come soon and perhaps triple the current number. If we can get 5 from the Fulmer era we can tie Alabama. Who are the candidates?

Manning
Lewis
Ellis
Haynesworth
Henderson
Mayo
Little
Sears
Clifton
Witten

After 100+ years it appears that Tenn will finally get a presence in the NFL HOF. Thanks Phil

Only Manning from that list will make the HOF. Lewis off the field problems won't get him a sniff. Mayo? He has played what...one freakin season?  Haynesworth?  Henderson, maybe if he would of played for a team in a bigger market or helped lead a team to a super bowl. As it is...no freakin way.

Hopefully, with the new and improved recruiting machine now at UT, we may actually be able to add to the HOF list in the next couple of decades.

Why you hating on the Vols in the pro's? They beat you up when you played t ball over there?

There will be 4 from that list make it to Canton. The only hope for eLane is Berry. Of course that will be another Fulmer guy. I doubt Eric would even invite eLane

If they sign Kiffin I am going small mike on them.

I believe from that list only Manning will be a cod lock for a HOF'er.  "Maybe" Witten if he plays for some time to come and continues to have great seasons.  It would help him if he made the SB first and then win one secondly.  A ring would help solidify him in the HOF.
It also appears that Tennessee players from the last 15 years improve once they get to the NFL.  That indicates they got better coaching there (NFL) as opposed to Tennessee.

dv,

as someone from hamilton county, i am mad you forgot old number 92 the "Minister of Defense." you also left out Doug Adkins. these are two of the best to ever strap it on for any program past and present. the story of Tennessee football is simply incomplete without them.
