Well, Chavis was ranked higher thru an entire year than Monte is with Monte's same talent

Currently Chavis is ranked higher than Monte in defense and Tenn has played a weaker schedule.

LSU - UT

Washington - Florida
Vandy - UCLA
Louisiana Lafayette - W. KY

Oh yeah, a much more difficult schedule.

320 ypg - 197 ypg

Butchy strikes again!

Seriously???  3rd and 10 from the LSU 20 and they get to the 3 yard line!!!  And then screw up and don't score!!!  Chavy-Wavy!!!!  Holds State to 24...well, really 17.  One of THE worst offenses in America and they damn near pull the upset.

Sorry DaVols but that is not accurate:

TOTAL DEFENSE

1.    Alabama
2.    Tennessee
3.    Florida
4.    South Carolina
5.    Vanderbilt
6.    Kentucky
7.    Ole Miss
8.    Miss. State
9.    LSU
10.    Auburn
11.    Arkansas
12.    Georgia

Just a quick follow up to the great Chavis defense debate. When he went to LSU he stated they had better talent at LSU than at Tennessee.

They gave up 478 yards to Washington and to the Miss State offensive juggernaut it was 374 yards.

I think this puts an end to the Monte versus Chavis debate. Monte by a landslide.

2nd down, 3rd down, 4th down Chavis

4-0 LSU

3rd and Monte vs horrible Ohio

Look out, it might be a 1-3 start

Wonder how old Monte's defense will be ranked after this one???

After next week that ranking will be ugly. Without Nick it will be really ugly. Monte took a team ranked #3 and will take them outside the 50.

5 starters missing in 2nd half. Plus 4 true freshmen playing (on the field at the same time). I wonder whose fault that is that there is absolutely no depth on defense.

I give eLane a big fat F just because he did not know the name of his starting middle LB that "blew out a knee". His name is Nick Reveiz eLane and he has accomplished 100 times more than you ever did as a player.

Monte turned Eric Berry into Eric who.

Poor eLane wants to complain about depth after he ran off about 16 guys and lost several commitments from kids that are starting in the SEC as freshman right now.

That was just bad play calling by MSU!!  When you're that close to the goalline, its QB sneak 24-7 in my book.  Another thing that play action pass, if that one player didn't bat it down, that would've been a TD called... But I still would've went QB sneak all 4 downs if you're that close to the goalline..
