SI had 'em on the cover last year after they demolished Clemson in the GA Dome. Didn't seem to hurt.

Our most famous tradition in college football is the Chicken Curse.  Last week, the SI Jinx was more powerful that the Chicken Curse in Columbia.  The biggest play of our game last week was the punter saving a sure Ole Miss TD with a miracle open field tackle.  I still don't believe that play.

That game got Tommy Bowden eventually fired.  His team was favored and did not live up to the hype.  They never recovered from that.

Hell...The chicken curse got Spurrier beat by their interum coach last year.

The chicken curse + SI Jinx = catastrohe.  In 1988, we were undefeated @ 8-0, ranked #6 in the country, and palying Georgia Tech in Atlanta on Saturday.  They had not beat a D-1 opponent in 2 years.  On Thursday before the game, SI had Tommy Chaiken on the cover and we lost 34-0.
