First of all, let me get this out of the way...All smack talk aside, Congrats to the tide nation: I have not caught most of your act so far this season, but you do appear to be real.   As for the see-I-told-you-so Fulmerite's out there, I simply say this. Like our performance last Sat. night or not, you need not look any further back than 10 years ago when Soli, and the mighty bug-eaters were feeding us a heavy dosage of ball down our throats, and was making us like it. And that was back when the pumpkin was in his prime with Manning and Co. Fast forward to now, the players have changed but Soli is the SAME. I'll take the W, and move on. With NR now out, Monte is going to be earning his paycheck this week trying to get us ready for the Tigs. The last pass JC threw for the TD under duress shows some promise and the running game continues to shine. My hats-off to the Ohio band for a fantastic half-time performance, UT band WTF??? They wheel-out some 80-year old hag to sing "who's the doggie in the window?" IT was flat-out AWFUL! And to boot, Rudedog wasn't even at the game!

I am sure these people would realize the risk they took at #6 did not pay off. #7 is a proven commodity and this is what the world outside of Tenn thinks.

How nice of you to finally notice.
Your D is pretty tough but it has faced only one top ten offense(gaytors).UCLA #108 WKY#115Ohio #103.
Bammer's is pretty good but the best offense we've faced was Arkie and VA Tech and UNT was #62???????????FIU was #110 i think. What I'm most happy about is the qb can throw it downfield without just looking for Julio. So when people load up the box we can go over the top. /ROFLMAO/We couldn't quite seem to do that last year when it was an obvious passing down.

Ohio's D was at #51 UCLA #15 WKY#118 and FLA's is ranked in the top ten.I don't think we've played against a decent D yet except for VA. Tech.

Auburn brings the #41 D and the #3 O to Neyland.Should be a slobberknocker.I guess there's no way for ya'll to both lose is there?

Rudedog wasn't even at the game!

Im sorry I missed Ms Page's tribute to me!  /Hamilton/Ford/Petersen/
I intended to come but Wolfie kinda waivered. Mrs Rude asked
if I would let her get paid review so she could watch. When Wolfie wasn't
sure about going, I told Mrs Rude I would watch it with her.
I will be at all the rest! Need a huge crowd for Sat!!

I agree Pirate. Ugly win and lets move on.

If yall remember, Ohio led Ohio State 14-12 in the 4th qtr last year.

They ain't that bad.

No offense Pirate, but I'm not sold on this great Monte Kiffin defense. Giving up that many yards passing to OHIO? The D hasn't been that great compared to what you expected. Agree?

Look,

There is nothing wrong with the D. Monte does not have the numbers and depth that you guys are blessed to have this year and I certainly don't have to tell you who's fault that is. No question losing our MLB hurt this weekend, not that I am going to use that as an excuse. This Ohio team that we played with Soli at the helm is not a bad team I tell you. Yes the QB torched us with the slant pass over and over again but I expect they will address that before we meet the Tigs.

Why wouldn't a good DC address it DURING THE GAME? Adjustments can happen during the game...

For the most part, he has, but I do believe that to be able to contain a mobile qb (who O by the way) had a pretty decent arm, you stick somewhat to the plan you install the week previous to deal with that style of player. And as I mentioned before, we were pretty banged up at that point in the game..It would be lovely to drop in a just-as-talented MLB that (and let me carefully quote the hc here) 'blew-out' a knee like you guys can this year, but thats what the Hogfather left us with. King Monte will fix this problem over time...

I am not a believer in UGLY wins or pretty losses. Any win this team gets will be a good win. I also was one of those 7-8 win guys before the season but that was with wool in my eyes and the hope that UT would be spared the injury bug. Well, they have been hit hard by injurioes and I have been hit hard with reality. The reality is, UT just doesn't have enough SEC caliber players to compete with the upper tier teams.

Before the season began, some posters were complaining about UT starting a walkon at middle LB. Now, those same posters are whining because UT lost one of their key players...a walkon middle LB. Crompton is a huge liability but he is certainly NOT the reason UT will struggle to win 7-8 games. Most of us have been saying for years that this program was falling faster than a .com stock. Nothing is going to change until UT gets better players. Those that want to blame this on Team Kiffin either don't know squat about football or they have an agenda. It's pretty obvious who those are.

My bottom line is...until Kiffin has at least 2 more recruiting classes, there is no way to be able to judge what type of coach he will be. Right now, we need to be happy with the improved discipline...improved GPA...improved police blotter and hopefully, improved play on the field. Most UT fans just need to bide their time and let this run it's course. Until then, enjoy any win, regardless of the opponent.

I hate using those emoticon thingies, but I am applauding this paragraph because that sums up my opinion.
