1.5 -2 says it is a pick em and TN gets the home field advantage.

The funny thing is that the folks betting are going with Auburn to cover 69%-31%

I am a bit suprised at the spread....But I have to admit the spread is getting people to bet....... That is the entire purpose of a spread isn't it?

boyz,

I picked the Vols and Penn St to cover for more $ than I should have. I know better but I'll probably take Tennessee again this week...

The purpose of a spread is to get even amounts of money on each side. The house collects the automatic 10% juice money then.

That is exactly right. So many fans think the line is meant to determine who is the best team. That is the furthest thing from the bookies thoughts when setting a line.

If I were a betting man, I would take Aubie and the points. Anytime a team can get points and the other team has a Crompton, it sure looks like easy money.

I might be in for a rude awakening but I think Auburn isn't as good as they look.  I really think this is a very winnable game.  I expect us to run the ball and for the defense to be a lot more focused.  I hope we have our best DBs back for the game though.  Even with Crompton I would put money on this game.  Just not a lot.

If Auburn can score 17-21 points, they win. No way in hell UT can score more than 21 points on a SEC defense...unless it's UsuK or Vandy.

Not sure youve seen the AUB defense this year RT. As much as the offense has improved down on the plains the defense has fallen. UT should be able to ground out yards even with AUB stacking the box.

All in all it should be a good cripple fight

The offensive genius that they have didn't do much against decent defenses last year.  They only scored 23 in a loss to Arkansas.  I feel better about this game than against the wildcocks.

I haven't seen their defense but I have, unfortunately, seen UT's offense. I also think it will be a good game but UT has the Crompton factor. He will give Auburn at least one "short field" score. Hell, last year, he gave Auburn the phuckin game. Just turned around and gave them 7 points and that was the game.

If Crompton doesn't gift wrap Auburn a couple of scores, the Vols have a chance. If I was betting...I would bet that Crompton does his usual brain farts and Aubie sneeks out of Knoxville with a win...but everyone knows, I don't bet...

War Eagle 38
Former UT Football program now a piece of 13

You might expect to hear grasshoppers by the end of this one but since they cannot give away enough tickets to get close to a sell out you might hear them as soon as the band shuts up.
