Thunderin' Jayzus! Didja think I was dead!?!?!

« on: November 05, 2009, 05:24:11 PM »

Press is reporting 12 dead and 31 wounded.  1 perp killed, more than one captured.

FBI jumps in quick to say "not terrorist related." Did the same thing after the Muslim dude drove into a crowd of students at UNC.  he later said he did for "jihad."

Apparently the one of the shooters is Arabic "Major Malik Nadal Hasan" per ABC News.

A sad irony is that the killer was a psychiatrist (MD) who specialized in treating soldiers with post-traumatic stress from combat duty.

What I don't get is that, according to the reports I've heard, Hasan was vociferous in his indignation about being deployed in either Iraq or Afghanistan. Also, if the reports are true, he has gone on record as saying Muslims should unite in fighting the US presence there.

If those reports are true, why in hades would the US military ever allow someone with those feelings to be deployed under those circumstances? I don't get it.

This terrorist walked around dressed in muslim garb and spent most of his time railing against the United States.   Yet, they still let him around the guns because doing anything less would be profiling?

I'd like to a link to any news story supporting any of that.

You have no facts to back that up. None. A video CNN showed yesterday of him wearing his Arab clothing the day of the shooting is not proof he "walked around dressed in Muslim garb and spent most of his time railing against the United States."

Profiling? Timothy McVeigh wasn't a Muslim. Should we be profiling white "Christians"?

Are you suggesting the military should not enlist any Muslims?

It was an easy bet that the resident socialists would show up quickly to defend this guy.    How many times does America have to be attacked by young muslim radicals before you see a trend?

Here are several sources to back up what I said about his Anti-American rants:

I'd say regularly calling the Americans the aggessors and comparing the suicide bombers to heroes who throw themselves on grenades to save their fellow soldiers to be reason enough to keep this idiot away from the guns.

Nice call on Timothy McVeigh. He is apparently one of your side's heroes because you always bring him up.  The  US government does spend a lot of time trying to keep up with these types of idiots.   In fact,  the government even tracks when these white anti-American extremists buy too much fertilizer.

I'm all for the US defending itself both inside and outside its borders against all enemies.   You seem intent on making it easier for our enemies to attack us in both places.

Nobody defended the guy.  He's a mass murderer, that much we do know.  We don't know that he "walked around dressed in muslim garb and spent most of his time railing against the United States."

I'm sure this helped his mental state a lot:

Quote
Fort Hood shooting suspect, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, wanted out of the Army after being constantly harassed by others in the military and was called a "camel jockey," his family said.

NCV, are you really trying to justify killing fellow soldiers because someone made fun of his religion?     So I guess it's OK with you for Christians to begin killing liberals all over this country.   That's the biggest reach you have ever come up with.

The army is just like team sports, workplace and anyother place adults hang out together.   People get picked on about their appearance, their family, their clothes, their work habits, their background, their religion, etc.    That does not excuse these actions.

This guy gave out enough warning signs for someone to consider keeping him away from the guns.   Now, not only do you dispute that, you try to justify his actions becasuse someone picked on him.     I wouldn't even expect a juvenile response like that from LTC or the atheist, much less you.

Oh please! No one is defending this guy. He is a mass murderer. Too bad he wasn't killed yesterday in the shootout. However, whenever you are called out for making absurd statements, you resort to the "you're a Muslim loving, anti-American, terrorist sympathizer" card. It is intellectually dishonest and shows you have nothing to back up your baseless statements and prejudices.

Timothy McVeigh is NOT my hero. However, he is a hero to far right, anti-government, white, paramilitary types.

Again, I ask are you advocating the exclusion of all Muslims from the US military? Your statements and tone suggest you have a problem with Muslims.
