The man has painted his image since he was a little kid to be this fine, upstanding person that everyone should admire. The whole thing has been a sham. I'll take a guy that's up front from day one about his shortcomings over a guy that lives a secret life and won't come clean about it even when caught red-handed.

Oh, lighten up Link.   If Tiger or his wife were on this board, I wouldn't have posted that joke or said anything about it.

He's benefitted just fine from being in the public eye and the jokes and scrutiny go along with it.

The dude was getting action on the side.  Big deal.  Probably half of this board and more than half of the golfing world has done the same.  It's like Chris Rock says, "The level of a man's faithfulness is dependent on the level of his opportunities."

I fail to remember Tiger ever claiming to be some great, virtuous person to be upheld as "Man of the Year".

I find this all comical.

Link, who said I was judging the guy.   Just like you, I find it all comical.

I just hope Tomcat has not been hitting on any UT hostesses.

This board has become all about animal husbandry:  we talk about tigers, cheetahs, and cougars.

Anytime you endorse a product like Buick or one of the many others he has endorsed, his image has been displayed as squeaky clean. Otherwise, they wouldn't use him. Some of his own people make him out to be some great humanitarian. He seems no different than Shawn Kemp, just a little more careful.

I still say it's a coup for Lane Kiffin to have hired Tiger Woods as his new recruiting coordinator.   However, they should have made a bigger deal of this.
