Winning a NC is only half of Fulmer's legacy.  The other half is that he let the program slip to the point of being an embarassment.

I ask only 2 things out of Lane and staff, act with class and don't cheat.
Don't think the "act with class" requirement is going to happen.

In the big picture of things that is all that counts. With all the talk about Tennessee and tradition the University of Minnesota has better credentials and 3 HOF coaches, 1 Heistman, 6 NC, and 18 Big Ten Championships

Tradition and 99 cents gets you a cup of coffee at Pilot. I am just saying, that are the things that are important. No matter the coach or how competitive we are history shows we will sell 100,000 tickets and the Big Orange Nation will tailgate and follow the team.

So his last 10 years are really irrelevant when compared to his run of 5 years and the NC.

I disagree.  I don't see that one is any more or less relevant than the other.  The most important is the present.  Hardware is important, but it doesn't mean squat when your rivals win more, which is what LSU, FLA, and Bama have done.

Well we are not Bama, FL or LSU. I watched games from the early 60's on and the thought that we might win a NC was a pipe dream. Thhe NC took an old albatross from around the collective throat of Big Orange Country.

We have always been the bridesmaid, the 2nd best team and that designation gets old after awhile. Mark my word the BON is already moaning and groaning about Basketball, when KY comes back with a vengance folks are going to get impatient with Pearl and before long folks will be tossing tuperware containers of dog  /UTFootball/ onto his front porch and yard. Sending death threats to his house, and making horse's  of themselves. It's coming boyz! It is what we do here in Big Orange Country. You have to have a Nervous Breakdown to get honored during your lifetime here.
