Lots of Notre Dame love for Clausen.

Good move for Tate, his stock is probably as high as it is going to get. He is a good kid but he is not the fastest kid around. Clausen leaving means that Kelly is the next HC IMO. He is supposedly a top 10 pick but another season might have made him a lottery pick....

Who would have thought that of the three Clausen kids, Jimmy accomplished the least while in college.    Casey and Rick both led their teams to bigger wins and better bowls than Jimmy did.

Also, no UT fans ever beat up Rick or Casey.

Knowledge,
If Fulmer had signed Jimmy would he still be our HC?

The way you framed that you have to wonder about that and ask the question.

PV, in your consistent rush to denigrate all things Tennessee, you missed the point:  The Clausen family thought Jimmy was too good to sign with Tennessee and wanted him to go to a school where he could compete for national titles and play in big time games and big time bowls.

Well, both Rick and Casey played in bigger games and bigger bowls.    Notre Dame was irrelevant in the national scene for the entire three years he was there.

Now, I know you will counter with all of the passing records Jimmy set this year, but he never won any games of note in his entire college career.    Heck, Rick won more big games FOR Notre Dame than Jimmy did!!

Notre Dame is a great education, great exposure, and Clausen is going to get to continue playing football for a good paycheck.  Thats not all bad.  Of the 3 Clausens, he's the guy people will remember the most.

The defense has been the problem the last 2 years.  Jimmy has played well, imo.

Towel, you have always blamed Manning for his losses regardless of his surrounding cast so you can't use that defense of little Jimmy.

Jimmy was a loser and his teams never won anything.

I never said Manning was a loser.  I just find it comical that some East TN sheep called Jimmy Hyams the day after the AFC championship game and blamed the Colts defense when their offense only put 3 points on the board.

The next time Jimmy and his two brothers go out to eat at a fancy restaurant, I bet Jimmy pays the check!

Good point.  On a similar note, prior to 2006, Trent Dilfer and Doug Williams were more accomplished quarterbacks than Peyton Manning. And both were more accomplished than Dan Marino.

Who would have thought that of the three Clausen kids, Jimmy accomplished the least while in college.    Casey and Rick both led their teams to bigger wins and better bowls than Jimmy did.

Also, no UT fans ever beat up Rick or Casey.

domer, as I said earlier, Rick Clausen won more big games (one) for Notre Dame than Jimmy did.
