Like I said, Trent Dilfer won more big games than Dan Marino.

domer, as I said earlier, Rick Clausen won more big games (one) for Notre Dame than Jimmy did.

As far as the college game is concerned, Casey was the best of the family.

Good point.  On a similar note, prior to 2006, Trent Dilfer and Doug Williams were more accomplished quarterbacks than Peyton Manning. And both were more accomplished than Dan Marino.

AU,

Normally I like the logic of your posts, but that is simply an absurd statement. You must be a Bucs fan.

I am trying to point out the absurdity of Knowledge's logic.  He is trying to argue that Rick Clausen was more accomplished than Jimmy Clausen based on the fact that he won more "big games" than Clausen.  If you choose to use that single metric to determine how accomplished someone is, then you come to conclusions like "Trent Dilfer is a more accomplished QB than Dan Marino".  Which is absurd to anyone who has watched either QB for more than 1 game.  Just as it's absurd to compare either Clausen brother to Jimmy who, in my opinion, was the best QB in college football this year.  Unfortunately for him, he doesn't play defense.

Spike Clausen was the best QB in college football this year??????

Knowledge,

The bama fans will tell you Casey Clausen was far more accomplished than Spike.  Those bama fans remember 4th and 19 and 5 OT's like it was yesterday!!!!

Casey beat them his freshman year as well.

One of Casey's years, the refs and the SEC felt sorry for them and gave them a TD which was the difference as I recall.
