Anybody going to the game? NIHA is a much better venue for basketball than any other in the capital. Pearl has some work to do to STAY in the top ten...

My guess is Wolfie will storm the court, if the Volunteers win.

A twenty-one point victory and nobody cares.

Interesting...

Interesting.
They had an article today about how J P Prince hasn't found his game yet.
He said it would come. He ends up leading the team in scoring tonight with 17.

I care Bob.

Is this team going to be mean enough, focused enough, and polished enough to beat WildCa$h, FL, Michigan State, Purdue, UNC, Duke, etc. this year?  Do they have the discretion for UT Basketball to do REALLY WELL this year in the NCAA tournament?

About the time Kirk Nahler mentioned Teddy Valentine on the pre-game show, I called a former SPS poster, road warrior, & basketball expert.  He and I preceeded to compare JP to his cousin, Tayshawn.  About 30 seconds after JP hit his second 3 for his 17th point, my phone was ringing.

Maybe if we can have all our games on Friday nights against lesser foes, JP can have a great year!  I doubt it, but I hope the light will pop on for JP the way it finally did for Crompton.

Scotty Hopson could finish so many fast breaks FOR POINTS by driving to the free throw line stopping and feeding the wing players for an easy layup.  Right now, he seems to think you must charge over the guy in front of him for an espn or AAU dunk.

Is Scotty or JP going to guard John Wall of WildCA$H?

Doesn't sound like a team first player Sky.

I guess as long as we win.  It is erratic basketball.  I am not sure that the fact that Coach Pearl rotates them in and out is not a factor in preventing them from playng team basketball.

Hey, Coach Pearl and the Jethros' Uncle Jerry won 20 games all the time, but I wonder if he would not be better off letting the first team play to exhaustion together (particularly against MTSU)  where they have to rely on each other's teamwork for support, and then let the second teamers play as a team until exhaustion.  Seems as if there might be more continuity with the same amount of rest.  IMO

It's a "playoff" sport, so, NO, I don't care until March.  And you people want to screw up my football with a "playoff".
