After they hire Tuberville or some total loser like Edsall,  I'm done with ND football.

Is there room on the Ga Tech bandwagon?

What do you not like about Tubberville or Edsall?  I think Edsall is doing a great job at UConn.

Edsall is a .500 coach TT.   He has zero chance of succeeding at ND.

Even Radio Willingham had a better record at Stanford.

.500 at UConn is amazing.  We're talking about a program that recorded its first D-1 win back in 2000.

Why hire a coach from the Big East?    Their champion got blown out by the ACC's 6th best team!!

Great coaches dominate in lesser conferences.

Meyer won in the MAC and the MWC. Kelly has won two Big East championships back to back with only one conference loss.  Tressel was a rock star in a lower division.  Paul Johnson was a great 1-AA coach.  While this is not proof positive that Kelly is a great coach, he is at least meeting this requirement.

Edsall has never won more than nine games in a season and has a 0.500 record overall, a losing record in Big East play, and has finished higher than 5th in the conference only one time. He is not dominating in conference play; in fact, he is being dominated. There is nothing in his record of achievement that suggest he would succeed at ND.

Cincy has the same problems with image, facilities, and tradition that UConn has.  But Kelly wins and Edsall loses half his games.

Knowledge, Say what?  12-0 Cincy got blown out by the ACCs 6th best team?

AU, I don't think its fair to say he's being dominated.  Edsall has won a conference championship.  And UConn didn't even have a stadium until around '02 or '04.  Or not one that came close to the minimum 30,000 capacity requirement.

The Huskies usually play a more difficult non-conference schedule than the Bearcats too.  While image may be a problem at both places, Cincinnati at least has solid recruiting base.

IMO, Kelly would not continue to win at the pace he has the past couple years in the Big East.  And its fair to point out that two of his best playmakers, Pike and Gilyard, were both recruited to UC by Dantonio.

ND could do a lot worse (and has) than Tubbs.

Like I have been told by PV the Prez is going to have to OK any hire. I knew that Stoops had no shot, Jenkins would not hire him. I was afraid that Kelly's baggage while at the directional school in Michigan would haunt him. Plus his dad was/is a democratic boss in the Boston metro area.
