Lets collect enough money to buy "Steve"    the laugh-aholic recruiting addict a subscription to the recruiting services.

If he doesn't have a computer, could someone donate an old one so he can go on-line & listen to J & J ???

He wastes 5 minutes of my life every time I listen to 990...

The guy is a serial caller.   I have lived in Nashville and Memphis over the last 15 years and he routinely calls every show in those cities too.

"5 minutes?"  Seems a lot longer.

Steve would be fine if he would ask one question, say "thanks for the show," and "I'll hang up until Brent Hubbs comes back on."

The worst of all is "Don" the Paison, the painter from Oak Ridge on 1180's roster.  You did know he was Beano's friend from high school didn't you?

"Chris" is another one from 990.  He is a Dave Nathan wannabee.  He belongs in the Scripted Caller Hall of Fame with "JB" of 1180, "Fellas."

"The greatest quote in Knoxville radio history [was] when Kiffin was hired.  Hyams was interviewing Pete Carroll - Basilio was talking to W. Lynn and Small Mike. Absolutely classic!"

Jim from Alcoa is absolutely the worst caller in the history of sports call in shows.    And the bad thing is, every time I get in the car, he calls one of the shows.   His voice is awful and he carries on a conversation like any old man will do on a normal phone call.   Why don't the hosts cut these morons off when they start with their personal discussions.

Anyone else remember "Danny Mynatt from over in Maynardville."    He reached legendary status with my family many years ago.   He would call the Kick off call in show and always start off with:
"Hey John, ......is John Ward there?   This is Danny Mynatt from over in MAYnardville, I've got a question, actually it's two questions and a comment and then I'll hang up and listen to your "aintser."     Sometimes the guy would call twice before a game.

Dude's voice is screwed up from throat cancer, so I won't bust on him for that, but come on dude, do you seriously think it's necessary to call every show, every day, with that same question, "What's going on with recruiting?"

These guys, Chris and Josh, who think they are auditioning for hosts jobs (didn't one or both actually enter that contest 990 ran that nothing came of?), need to get over themselves.  Or at least, get over themselves in half the time.  I think 990 looks forward to their calls the same way DJs did back in the 70's when they would play "Stairway to Heaven".  Put it/them on, take a 7 minute bathroom break.  You're not going to get a word in edgewise, so why bother?  Hit the head.

Chris is a Jim Rome wannabe, not a Dave Nathan wannabe. He mentioned a few weeks ago that he's in broadcasting school and would like to be a talk show host. Guess he is auditioning every time he calls. He's on the air more than Alex each week.
