Can't believe nobody saw this last week and didn't mention it.  Replayed tonight (I missed it last weekend)...what a story.  Even though I lived through that era, I forgot how football USED to be during the 80's...brash, brazen, hyped, over the top!  Half the rules today are the result of the "U" and their "in your face" approach.  Great show (as all the 30F30 shows are).  I was dissapointed that they COMPLETELY left out the demolition of the U by UT in '85.  It was like it never happened.  Oh well, we all know the story.

Bottom line...must see TV.

I watched it as well.  Pretty entertaining.  I liked the shot on Florida.

I taped it and just finished watching. Great recap of football in the 80's. Loved the demolition of Texas in the Cotton Bowl.

I watched a lot of it.    Miami had a bunch of punks then and they have punks now.   It's just the punks in the 80s and early 90s won a lot more!!   I did notice they failed to show highlights from the 86 Sugar Bowl.     That was by far the most decisive loss the U suffered during that run.

I liked the part where Michael Irvin got into an altercation at a nightclub and went and got several  of his teammates to help him out.    When the Miami natives (Bratton & Highsmith) saw who he was arguing with, they got Irvin out of the club.   Told him those guys were "real killers."

I liked Luther Campbell's veiled denials of cash payments etc.

I definitely think Kiffin has a we against the world attitude.  He doesn't care what people think.  If the talent gets loaded up, I can see him RUTS on some teams.  I don't think we will have as many thugs as the U back in the day.  I personally like being hated by other people.  That is why I come on to this board.

I don't remember seeing the historic November 1984 Miami highlights.   Doug Flutie's Hail Mary and Maryland's comeback from a 31-0 half time deficit.

They did show a Sugar Bowl where Miami beat Alabama but left out the one where y'all won.
