That President Bush made a very bad decision and President Obama should learn from Bush's mistake and keep every single terrorist in Gitmo until they have a military tribunal and if we can't give them a military tribunal we keep them forever because we cannot release them back to their native lands

Obama takes the heat Bush did not

Eight years ago, a terrorist bomber’s attempt to blow up a transatlantic airliner was thwarted by a group of passengers, an incident that revealed some gaping holes in airline security just a few months after the attacks of September 11. But it was six days before President George W. Bush, then on vacation, made any public remarks about the so-called “shoe bomber,” Richard Reid, and there were virtually no complaints from the press or any opposition Democrats that his response was sluggish or inadequate.

That stands in sharp contrast to the withering criticism President Barack Obama has received for his reaction to Friday’s incident on a Northwest Airlines flight heading for Detroit.

Democrats have seized on the disparity and are making it a centerpiece of their efforts to counter GOP attacks on the White House. “This hypocrisy demonstrates Republicans are playing politics with issues of national security and terrorism,”

Okay you rightwingers. Bush released 2 of the 4 responsible for the attempted bombing. What say you?

Since it was actually Bush who released 2 of the 4 responsible for the attempted plane bombing, what do you loons say about Obama actually letting a terrorist into a CIA camp in Afghanistan? Maybe the sucide bomber is the guy who called Obama:

Spy chiefs turn on President Obama after seven CIA agents are slaughtered in Afghanistan

Leave it to wingnuts to blame America .....bunch of traitorous bastards!

This is another idiot quote...Republicans and conservatives are not blaming America...we are blaming a failed policy that President Obama has implemented since his election.

The left when attacking President Bush's policy attack his policy by saying America is to blame for the terrorist that we created them by supporting Israel or by invading Iraq or by promoting capitalism...the list goes on and on.

Your argument is very weak...try again

As this article points out how odd the far-right criticisms of the Obama administration have been............

SALEH AL-SOMALI was
Quote
the first top al Qaeda leader to be killed by U.S. forces in almost a year, though it comes on the heels of successful strikes against Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan, the ringleader of a Qaeda cell in Kenya and one of the most wanted Islamic militants in Africa, and Baitullah Mehsud, Pakistan's enemy No.1 and the leader of its Taliban movement.

Developments like these remind me of how odd the far-right criticisms of the Obama administration have been. Rudy Giuliani recently whined that the White House "is getting away from the fact that we're at war with these terrorists." A Republican cheerleader called James Taranto, who writes for the Wall Street Journal, recently argued that President Obama prefers a "see-no-evil approach" to national security, and has decided not to "worry so much about terrorism."

Fortunately, the evidence to the contrary is overwhelming. Indeed, if the counter-terrorism successes of 2009 had occurred in 2008, can there be any doubt that the White House would be releasing photos of Dick Cheney and Bill Kristol chest-bumping each other on the South Lawn?

AND....

Quote
Republicans started trashing the Obama administration for the failed Abdulmutallab plot, Democrats noted that 108 House Republicans -- including Boehner and Pete Hoekstra -- opposed funding for the Transportation Security Administration, including money for screening operations and explosives detection systems.

It's worth noting, however, that it's not just House Republicans, and it's not just this year.

Some of the same Republican lawmakers currently criticizing the President for softness on terrorism voted back in July 2007 against legislation  that, among other reforms, provided $250 million for airport screening and explosive detection equipment.

The Improving America's Security Act of 2007 was a relatively non-controversial measure that effectively implemented several un-acted-upon recommendations from the 9/11 Commission. Eighty-five Senators voted in favor of the bill's passage. Seven missed the vote (several of whom were on the campaign trail, including Barack Obama, John McCain and Chris Dodd).

Eight Republican Senators, however, voted against passage, including Sens. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.), Tom Coburn (R-Okl.) Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) Elizabeth Dole (R-N.C.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), James Inhofe (R-Okl.) and Jon Kyl (R-Ari.).
