Obama's State of the Union Speech

I'm looking forward to the speech.  Just hope he limits the amount of populist rhetoric and states how he intends to abide by some of his campaign promises regarding ear marks, open government/CSpan, working with the republicans, creating non government jobs, reducing the deficit, etc.  Also like to see him state that he does not support certain states getting special deals such as Louisiana and Nebraska with the Health Care bill.

If what the White House is leaking about the State of Union Address is true, it's not going to create much positive buzz for the Obama Administration. 
 
How about increasing their budget 20 percent in one year and then call for a freeze on discretionary spending.  Even Campbell Brown of CNN has been ridiculing this feeble attempt to cut the deficit.

Nearly doubling the tax credit that families making under $85,000 can receive for child care costs, with some help for families earning up to $115,000.  Increasing by $1.6 billion the money pumped into a federal fund to help working parents pay for child care, covering an estimated 235,000 additional children.   What about the families that take care of their own children or don't have any children?  Don't they get a few carrots thrown their way?

As an old Carter hand, I am glad to see Mr Carter finally get his second term.
