Come on now DM. Just because we have a several thousand scientist that are not part of the Al Gore science concensus (if you say it is a scientific consensus you don't need to defend your position simply by creating a new scientific fascism. Of course don't forge the UN climate committee has been shown to be pushing fraud as well.  We have politiczed everthing else so why not science as well?) Who cares Al Gore's hockey stick is built upon fraudulent data and fraudlent computer models. The important thing is  we have a consensus of scientist that say Al Gore is correct.

There was no "consensus" among the medical profession in the 1950's about the dangers of cigarette smoking. In fact, your side (the deniers) could have found plenty of "imminent" physicians who claimed cigarette smoking was actually healthy. Also, lots of "isolated" examples that debunk the "smoking causes cancer" hysteria ("I have uncle who has smoked a pack a day for 30 years and he doesn't have cancer"), the same as for global warming. The tobacco industry spent millions of dollars to simply create doubt about the scientific evidence that smoking causes lung cancer, emphysema, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc. It worked for some 30 years on gullible people who bought into the organized publicity campaign by the tobacco industry.

Today is no different. Today, the same deniers are buying the "global warming is a hoax" campaign by the oil and chemical industries. They are using the exact tactics as the tobacco industry and dupes like you believe them. Sad.
