We almost need one in this country. We've gotten far away from what the founders of the country intended. The current two-party system is dividing the country in half. Anything that divides the country is not a good thing.

I think perhaps what is needed today is more akin to revival or awakening than revolution...

I am not completely convinced we have a two party system...The system is indeed equipped for multiparties, however we have two diverging ideologies driving the nation today...and as for the parties, they are almost actually one party...with interchangeable ideologies depending on the constituents they seek to enamor into voting for them.
