Before the KY beatdown. As I have said for several months, there will be 5 SEC teams and that Miss State was a lock.

Jerry Palm seems convinced UT will be a 5 seed.

So by the same logic, Pearl should be commended for completely changing this team and strategy mid season and winning against those odds. Keep in mind reloading with walk-on type talent, not 5 star UNC athletes.
The J_____ Bobby Huggins should be commended for playing in a _y league and rackin up wins against LSU and the entire West. UNC had much tougher conference schedule. 3 teams in vs. 7

That doesn't prove that the ACC is better.  It proves that they get special treatment.

"UNC had much tougher conference schedule. 3 teams in vs. 7"

He like many on Tobacky road, they do not get it. The ACC got a bunch in last year with high seeds. They all went home after round 1 except UNC. Duke may have won a game or two. They where losing to 14 seeds in round 1.

The number in is still up in the air. But the schedules do not lie. The ACC as a whole has
1. UNC beat Ohio State early
2. 2 teams beat Gonzaga who lost their league.

That is it. That is the only good out of conference wins. Ohio State in football proved that beating up your own conference is not always a sign of how good you might be.

March 11   vs. Georgia Tech*   7:00 PM ET

they beat Mich State and Ohio State (how bad is the Big Ten). They lost to KY, Texas, Syracuse. They beat those two teams early.

UNC by a mile played the best schedule of any in the ACC. But they where 2-3 against that schedule.

I will give the ACC good wins against OSU, MSU and Gonzaga. That is it. Any other good teams they played they got beat. They also had several really bad losses and losses to some average mid majors. To bad the NCAA committee will not look at the conference's performance vs. out of conference teams.

Now that we see that the ACC has only 3 good wins, how about the SEC:

KY: UNC, UCONN, Louisville
Vandy: St. Mary's (better win than Gonzaga), Arizona, Missouri
Tenn: KU, Memphis and tourny teams ETSU, Charlotte
Florida: FSU, Michigan State, Rutgers, NC State
Georgia: Ga Tech, Illinois
Miss State: Kansas State, Old Dominion(tourny team that won @ Georgetown). They also played UCLA and DePaul. No one knew that those teams would be down.
Alabama: Baylor, Michigan

The actual accomplishments of the SEC out of conference is considerably more impressive than the ACC. Case closed. ACC Hawkenstein losses again.
