Yeah, and I get a kick out of idiot conservatives who reference Byrd, then conveniently ignore that he has repeatedly apologized for his involvement with the Klan, denouncing their racism and his foolish decision to join when he was young and impressionable.

I also get a kick out of delusional conservatives who still think their party isn't racist, despite dozens of faux pas by their leaders and the fact that 90% + avoid voting for them like the plague.

Take a look at the next Tea Party or GOP rally. I bet you can count on one hand the number of blacks in the audience.

Did Clinton apologize for giving Fulbright his award? Should he?

I have also discussed the makeup of rallies before with you, and somehow you ignore the color of the audiences at anti-war, pro-abortion, fill in the blank with your favorite loon event. I also made a note about the color of the person who was beaten up by the pro-labor thugs vs. the color of the thugs. Somehow, this falls under your radar.

Which Party do blacks support every election with over 90% of the vote?

Case closed.

Of course they do. If I got me some of that Obama money or got my mortgage and car payment made, I might have to pull the lever for the demoncrats.

Meanwhile, back on the plantation, what is the unemployment rate among blacks? Can we get a murder rate for black on black crime? How about a percentage of those blacks living below the poverty level?

In summary, how long has the Messiah been in power? How long have the dems controlled Congress and, more importantly, how long have dems controlled the areas where blacks are the majority?

1. The unemployment rate among blacks can be partly traced back to the overt racism after the Civil War from the same clowns who make up today's GOP. The Dems who opposed civil rights in the 50's and 60's are the face of the GOP today. Just what did the Bush administration and the GOP do for black unemployment? They opposed any and all measures aimed at affirmative action and entrance quotas, just to name one example. Pathetic.

2. I have no idea what black on black crime has to do with any political party. That was stupid.

3. Blacks have it bad, no doubt. But they know things would be INFINITELY WORSE if they had to depend on the GOP for help. There would be no civil rights; no affirmative action; and no support at all if it were left to today's conservatives.

The fact that, given the bad scenario you paint, blacks still vote over 90% for the Democratic Party should tell you just how egregious the GOP is when it comes to anyone who isn't a rich, WHITE person.

The GOP was, is, and will probably always be the party of rich WHITES. Blacks, Asians, Latinos, et al need not apply.

Man, I wonder how the Jews ever made it?

Of course!! It can ALWAYS be traced back to SOMETHING! Personal responsibility, in the greatest country on the face of the earth, be damned.

Those Civil War-era racists have to be getting pretty old, don't they?

No. What is egregious is the HOPE that the democrat party keeps peddling to minorities. When in fact it is the power that comes from keeping minorities on the plantation that is the true end result. Maybe the election of Obama will reveal some of this snake oil that has been repackaged and resold, but in the end only turns out to be as worthless as "Obama money".

Sasquatch,

When the GOP EVER attempts to pass legislation or actually do something to help blacks escape the vicious cycle of poverty, lack of education, few jobs, etc. then get back to me. There's a reason why blacks avoid the GOP like the plague. Your party does NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING to help blacks. You are the party of rich, WHITE men. Blacks understand that and that's why they won't vote for you.

Take a look at the next GOP convention. You will be able to count on your hands the number of blacks in an audience of thousands. Like I said, Blacks, Asians, Latinos, and other minorities need not apply to the GOP.

Can you cite examples of legislation that the GOP has attempted to pass that actually keeps blacks in poverty, uneducated, and wanting for a job? Throwing a few dollars around and always claiming that you are a victim does nothing but keep you on the plantation.

You are the party of rich, WHITE men.

You are the perfect snake-oil salesman. You spout this nonsense without looking at facts. I grew up in an area that was full of rednecks and blue collars. Guess which party they voted against in overwhelming margins? And it had nothing to do with race. Guess which party hedge fund managers and Goldman Sachs-types vote for? (see Madoff, Stanford, etc.) Which way does the fantasy world of Hollywood vote for?

Your blanket statements are the perfect example of selling HOPE and actually delivering CONTINUED poverty. Imagine how much better the black community would be if striving for success was looked at as positive instead of being labeled as an "Uncle Tom".

AMAZING!!! The dems keep doing the same things, and they keep getting the same results. Not surprisingly, black leaders are questioning Obama's lack of leadership when it comes to black issues. I guess they thought their plight would suddenly CHANGE because they bought the HOPE that Obama promised. But in the end, most of what happens to you today is the RESULT of choices you made in the past. And no politician is going to change that.
