It is strange that the so-called "good christian" republicans think so highly of the selfishness and greed of an avowed atheist? Ayn Rand???

Oh it happens all the time.  Who cares if the socialists break a few laws here and there...it's for the good of our country.

Well, offering jobs to sitting members of Congress does happen all the time.  Running for Senate is a political decision, and candidates and those who might or might not support them consider politics when making them.  When a seat is open, political leaders in the WH make political decisions about who to support and use various political means at their disposal to make those political appointments.

And what law was broken. The stupid video JW posted is dealing with PR failures.  OK, the PR handling was terrible.  Let's appoint a special prosecutor to get to the bottom of why they failed to anticipate idiot lemming reporters from taking the non-scandal seriously and treating a common, everyday occurrence of politicians taking politics into account when making political appointments as an issue bigger than, for example, the fact that under MMS, the regulated firms filled out their own inspection reports in pencil, which were traced over in true "rubber stamp" fashion by the supposed regulators.

The deal is the idiots in that room have an easier time chasing this stupid story than, for example, dealing with the implications of the BP oil spill, or financial reform.  Even a second grader can ask questions about PR failures - "Why didn't you anticipate that we'd be colossal failures as reporters and forget about an oil spill that will be a environmental disaster not seen in this country in 100 years so we can ask why politicians played politics?"

This is like the coverage of political races in this country, which invariably focuses on process and polls and momentum and personalities but ignores the issues, since reporting on issues and asking intelligent questions about issues require that these idiots do some work and learn something.  They can read a fricking poll in three seconds and talk about scandal in between fixing their hair and getting a manicure, and that's just what the men do....

That clip goes a long way in explaining why watching TV news makes a person dumber and more ignorant with every minute watched.
