I'll point out a big difference between me and you and liberals and conservatives in general.

On the "left" and I'll include myself there, we're comfortable calling out corporate stooges in the democratic party, including Obama so far, and pointing out that Larry Summers made $8 million from banks the year before Obama appointed him to advise on....banking and finance.  And that Max Baucus hired a VP from Wellpoint to write the health care bill.

And we'll point out, as I have repeatedly, that what "liberals" call "The Village" - what you'd call the MSM DBM - is a hopeless and worthless collection of a** kissers and cocktail party attendees who are above all devoted to being "in" with the power structure in D.C. and so obediently report whatever the talking points are of the people with momentary power.  They did it with Bush and Obama and Clinton and Bush and Reagan....

I have NO respect for the mainstream outlets and spend almost no time reading them except for basic information.  They're competent at that, beyond that you have to know they're duty is to kiss rears and report what was told to them - a good looking monkey could do their job just fine.

So I'll never defend the quality of reporting coming out of D.C.  By definition almost, it's worthless, because a basic rule is to not offend the powerful.  What I don't see is any philosophy actually at work on either side except a perfect willingness to whore out their columns to political interests serving a political agenda.  There's almost no one doing real reporting. They're serving as the paid PR arms of the two parties.

IMO, it's pathetic you can't see the same faults with the right wing media in this country that seem so obvious to you in the left wingers.  There's not a dime's worth of difference in their approach, except the left generally has to rely less on outright lies to make a point.
