Senate Confirms Kagan To Supreme Court
by Liz Halloran

August 5, 2010

The U.S. Senate by a 63-37 vote on Thursday confirmed Elena Kagan as the nation's 112th Supreme Court justice and its fourth-ever female member –- but, as predicted, with just a handful of votes from Republican senators.

It is strange that the so-called "good christian" republicans think so highly of the selfishness and greed of an avowed atheist? Ayn Rand???

Good Christian? Bwa-hahahahahaha!

No you don't. A Supreme Court Justice needs to have an exemplary command of the English language, something you woefully lack.

The RNC is hopelessly broken.  Even if they do get the keys to the car in November, I hold little hope for the direction of our nation.

Experience as a judge isn't actually a requirement.  A number of SC Justices weren't ever judges.  And see, Bush, George W. for the latest nominee of a person with no judicial experience.  Yes, I know she didn't get confirmed, but that wasn't because she wasn't a sitting judge, it was because she was a lightweight political hack.

Besides, Sotomayor WAS a judge and she too was unqualified to all you right wingers.  I don't actually think your opposition is based on her judicial experience.  I think the excuse for her was she was an affirmative action pick because finishing at the top of every class in every level of education, rising quickly among the judicial ranks to a respected position as an appeals court justice is proof she got there because she was a minority and a woman, or something....  I missed a step there I think...
