Sharron Angle is an utter disgrace. She is openly opposing gay adoption. This woman also has a history of portraying homosexuals as child molesters. Not to mention she doesn't seem to be aware we have a separation of Church and State. Running on hate ... and wanting to establish a Christian theocracy, the far right GOP mantra.

Quote
Nevada GOP Senate candidate Sharron Angle believes that gays should not be allowed to adopt children and that religious leaders should be allowed to endorse political candidates, contrary to a federal ban on churches participating in political campaigns on behalf of candidates, according to a questionnaire obtained by the Associated Press.

Angle submitted the questionnaire with 36 yes-or-no answers to the Government is not God political action committee, which has endorsed her campaign.

The PAC has endorsed seven other GOP senate candidates, including Florida’s Marco Rubio, California’s Carly Fiorina, South Carolina’s Jim DeMint and Arizona’s J.D. Hayworth.

According to the group’s website, the goal of the Government is not God PAC is “the election to Congress of men and women who hold conservative beliefs on both moral and economic issues."

Candidates seeking the PAC’s endorsement must “complete a questionnaire concerning their stand on issues such as abortion, gambling, drug use, home schooling, school prayer, property rights, Second Amendment rights, welfare, defense and taxation,” the website says.

Asked about Angle's answers, her spokesman Jarrod Agen said, "This nation has a long history of clergy speaking their conscience, whether you're talking about the Founding Fathers or Martin Luther King. As a strong believer in the First Amendment, Sharron Angle believes it is improper for the federal government to use the threat of revoking tax exempt status against churches and pastors."

"Sharron Angle," Agen added, "believes that ideally, children should have a relationship with both a mother and a father and our adoption policy should reflect that."

"As a grandmother of ten and a former teacher, nobody is more concerned about our kids' education than Sharron Angle. As Sharron has said many times, education is best handled at the local level, not by bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. delivering unfunded mandates like 'No Child Left Behind.'"

Have you noticed how recently when you or I start a thread, Just Scream starts a counter one? After posted the Sharron Angle anti-gay, pro theocracy discussion, here comes Pee Wee Scream with yet another copycat thread.

Sharron Angle had a double digit lead in the polls in June. She now trails Harry Reid. There's a reason she is fading fast. She is certifiably insane and voters are starting to realize this.

Angle is as stupid as she is offensive.

Religious leaders can endorse anyone they feel like it, they just can't enjoy a tax exemption while doing it.  If any church wants to get involved in politics, pay their damned taxes on their income, their property, like the rest of us, and they can do whatever the F*** they want.  The big churches have "separate" entities that allow them to evade the ban anyway.

Gosh, I can't believe a person this stupid, and seemingly completely ignorant about basic facts of government is potentially a U.S. Senator.  She's not qualified to hold a county commission seat in a backwaters area of Nevada, much less VOTE on matters of national importance.

Why? Are you thinking about adopting a child?

Since being gay isn't a mental illness, I have no idea what your point is...

I don't think bigots should be allowed to adopt, but since most legislatures have no shortage of them, I'm not exactly holding my breath on that law passing...

And I am sure not one homosexual guy is worried about getting pregnant.  Gay women can get pregnant, with artificial insemination, or by having sex with a man.  But I am sure none of them worry about getting pregnant with their female lovers.  So, it would be a good point if it wasn't stupid.

And weren't we talking about adoption?

Really? Then what's the point of celibacy within the Catholic Church?

And to the best of my knowldge, two gay guys having sex are not trying to reproduce. If they were, I might buy your homophobic argument. But I'm pretty sure two gay guys having sex aren't under any delusion they are reproducing.

Finally, using your inane logic, any sex between heterosexual couples, not aimed at reproduction, must be wrong (a position the Catholic Church takes). Sex for pleasure must be a sin since reproduction is apparently the only function sex has in your demented mind.

Actually when Pope John Paul II got to heaven and read the original text of all words of God he found out the word was CELEBRATE, NOT CELIBATE!  OOPS!
