Flummoxed Lummox:
I'm not sure which religion is more homophobic, Christianity or Islam. But both are extremely intolerant.

Dementia_Madness:
Yeah but they do not hold a candle to the oh so intolerant tolerant crowd.... FWIW tolerance simply means you tolerate something you do not like....understanding and accepting truth is a far better attitude to aspire to, it is better that people be honest about who they are and what they believe than to forced into a false act of acceptance....in the name of tolerance.

Yep them thar Christians are so intolerant....http://www.cleveland.com/nation/index.ssf/2010/08/outed_anti-gay_pastor_allowed.html

Like I said elsewhere a repentant sinner is a redeemed sinner...as long as they have the shed blood of Christ to cleanse them, all sinners are the same....as soon as we acknowledge we are sinners, then we can understand we need God to make us right, and that process is an ongoing one, here on earth, the cross and Christ's blood justification, the walk of the Saint is the sanctification. A gay man is no worse than an adulterer...and no less deserving of God's grace than you or I. That is the opposite of intolerance, unless of course your point is to accept the vile acts of sin in the name of tolerance, if this is the case, why not accept the sin of rape...or murder, after all where do we draw the line on tolerance, only on the sins YOU choose to ignore?

Why did you have to ruin a decent point by the ridiculous comparison of a victimless crime of being homosexual to the horrific acts of rape and murder which DO create victims - either a DEAD person or a victim traumatized for life by a violent act of rape.

I seriously wonder about the kind of thinking that brings to mind first homosexuals, then thinks, hmmm, what kind of sin is comparable to the consenting acts of adults in a freely entered into, often loving relationship - hmmmm....   GOT IT!!! RAPE and MURDER are comparable!!!

No it does not. You are so wrong on so many issues it is sad.

From Mirriam Webster:

Main Entry: tol·er·ance
Pronunciation: \?tä-l?-r?n(t)s, ?täl-r?n(t)s\
Function: noun
Date: 15th century
1 : capacity to endure pain or hardship : endurance, fortitude, stamina
2 a : sympathy or indulgence for beliefs or practices differing from or conflicting with one's own b : the act of allowing something : toleration
3 : the allowable deviation from a standard; especially : the range of variation permitted in maintaining a specified dimension in machining a piece

Accepting different beliefs or cultural practices, which are different than yours, is what tolerance is. It has nothing to do with liking or disliking.

The venom and hate toward homosexuals from far right Christians and Muslims is simply appalling. Shame on both.
