Deportations under Obama - UP. Criminal deportations - UP.

NCVol:
So, the soshulist has deported more illegals, and a higher percentage of criminals among that group of illegals, than Bush with GOP Congress ever did.

But it's now, after Obama is elected, that immigration became a crisis.   /loco/

GRAY:
well he is suing a state and sided with a hypocrite foreign head of state over his own citizens, even allowing his own country to be criticized and demeaned on our own turf...

maybe that's not a problem. meanwhile, ask the guatemalans about me-hi-ko's friendly immigration policies.

Jeremy Roenick:
NC.  You've never heard me give Bush or any President before him a pass on immigration.  We've been derelict of duty for quite some time.  That's why we have an estimated 15-20 million illegals in this country.

It's refreshing to see that deportations have picked up under BHO's watch.  However, if they go and give amnesty to illegals in the next couple months, then this chart is a moot point.

As an interesting aside to the chart you've offered, I wonder how the increase in deportations have been directly affected by states policing more for illegals in their own back yards and then turning them over to the Feds for deportation???  I'm sure that would be a difficult number to come up with.  But just suppose that the state and local governments are the real reason that deportations have increased in recent years, and not the INS out looking to put more illegals out.

Sasquatch:
Since it is now a crime for states to enforce the Federal Immigration law, I wonder what next years numbers will look like?

I agree. I guess when the illegals are suddenly legal this number will go to zero. Boy, that will sure skew the charts.

Sasquatch:
Also, did you notice the numbers INCREASED every year? Like Obama, that mean old Bush deserves credit for that doesn't he?

Furthermore, I would like to see how the numbers compare to the overall illegal population. In other words, are there more deportations in 2009 than in 2005 because there are more illegals? If so, how does this break down in percentages.
