Rachel Maddow exposes the far right fringe for the out of touch lunatics they are. Her segment begins with a discussion of Obama signing a $600 million bill to increase security along the US-Mexico border. Seizures are up and illegal crossings are down, despite the fear mongering on the right.

The best part of her segment begins at about 1:30 into the clip where she starts discussing Representative Louie Gohmert's (R-Psychotic) mental breakdown on Anderson Cooper (I realize the video of Gohmert on CNN was posted on another thread. I am more interested in Maddow's reaction to it.). She nails him and the far right for their egregious, out of touch, baseless fear mongering. Excellent analysis.

I suppose it's good advice to not take anyone's word on stuff whether the speaker is a lesbian or not, but in this case we don't have to actually take the word of a leftist lesbian, we can balance out the allegations of nutcase and race baiter, Louie Gohmert, with ALL the evidence.  And in this case ALL the evidence supports the opinions of the leftist lesbian, as is so often the case when the opinions of right wing cranks are put up against the opinions of leftists including the lesbian leftists.  In the current times, reality does appear to have a liberal bias...

As NC Vol points out, you do not have to take the opinion of a lesbian. Just listen to Gohmert's own words on the subject. Do you not have an opinion on what he claims?

Fine. Beck and Maddow have agendas. That is not the theme of this thread. Once again, do you not have an opinion about an elected official who goes on the floor of the House and asserts that "terrorist babies" are being born in the United States and raised abroad, in an evil plot to destroy America in some 20-30 years? That is the issue. You can listen to Louis Gohmert's own words without worrying about whom Rachel Maddow sleeps with.

Can you not see this is part of the GOP election strategy to demonize any group who doesn't happen to be white and conservative? From gay marriage destroying our culture; Hispanics taking our jobs; to radical Muslims hell bent on destroying America, it's all part of the same narrative: Be afraid if you are WHITE and CONSERVATIVE.

I don't doubt there are a handful of people that are deliberately having children here so they can have US citizenship and come and go as they please to eventually cause terror. But the terrorists have shown they don't need to have US citizenship to carry out their missions against us. This guy is sensationalizing the fact there may be a few doing that and wants to overblow it to create a buzz. Looks like it worked.
