NC, I believe you missed my point.  By the way, I detest Glen Beck, he's nothing more than a media/corporate mouthpiece that stirs the pot on the right side of the aisle, without really touching on what's wrong with this nation.

I was attempting to demonstrate to you the National Socialist Party of Germany (or Nazis as they're more commonly referred) used the very tools of social welfare to rise into power and to earn the trust of the labor party in Germany.  So to refer to these skinheads (who are race purist as Hitler and the Nazi party were) as more identifiable with the right than left (which is what I believe you're asserting) is nothing more than academic myth.  These nationalistic fascists are in a category all their own, and while they use platforms of both the left and right, they're off the political map as far as I'm concerned.  For every example that you can cite that identifies this collection of trash with the far right, I can cite an example of how they identify with or utilize tactics of the left...

No, wrong.  You can't make up your own definition of the term. Nazi Germany was a brutal dictatorship with one guy who we can all identify as its leader, HITLER!!!, and God help anyone who opposed him, at the risk of life and limb.

Let's just say that nothing we have seen in this country compares with Nazi Germany, and that governments of Sweden, Denmark, France, and other what we'd call socialist republics are about 180 degrees from the brutal tyranny of Hitler's Germany.  Hitler despised the communists, killed homosexuals, banned the social democrats, and established a dictatorship as basically his first official act.  He was an anti-intellectual HS dropout with no formal education, he banned books, held an early mass book burning, and pretty much despised the "intellectuals" in Germany, leading many of them to leave, or being purged, long before the wholesale killing of Jews began.  There's no evidence of any kind of the "liberal" social values that you guys freely associate with the left wing.  The bottom line is San Francisco values, "liberal elites" like college Professor Obama would have been killed or purged in Nazi Germany.

To be fair, the small, limited government of the libertarian mindset is just as opposed to the kind of brutal, police state, dictatorship of Nazi Germany, but you have to admit, there is a segment of the far right wing that is very authoritarian in nature and would gladly, and did, approve of torture and indefinite detention etc. without really batting an eye as to the larger consequences.  It's the same element that cheers ending habeus corpus, legal black holes, extraordinary rendition, assassination of U.S. citizens overseas, etc.  To be fair, Obama has continued some or all of it, but the opposition isn't among the GOP hard right, it's libertarians and "liberals" who consistently oppose those police state powers under Bush and Obama.

Heck, I almost feel sorry for the skinheads.  I can't believe any of them are any more than sorry, pathetic human beings who find value in their miserable existence by demonizing anyone different than they are.  It's a form of, sure, my life is shiate, but those guys are the real scum.  In a different world, they'd find value in comic books, computer games, Star Trek, or republican politics.....  

No kidding, what better way to get an inflated value of yourself than show up in Knoxville, be greeted by 500 police, who personally escort you for your march and keep you separated from a bunch of screaming protesters.  What kind of loser gets that kind of attention in his or her daily life?  Not pathetic people like those guys and girls, that's for sure.

Agreed.  Hitler's regime was probably the purist form of fascism married with nationalism and coupled with ethnic purity that has ever been seen in world history.  It neither embraced capitalism or socialism, in fact it denounced both.
