What is it with the liberal press this week

What is it with the liberal press this past week. They have incessantly been consumed over the question of whether the president is a Muslim We have had headline story upon story upon story issuing poll results on this question. The media environment this past week has been surreal to say the least. Perhaps some of you board lefties can come on and explain this liberal media consternation. I don't pretend to understand the illogic of liberalism so perhaps we can get some sort of nebulous explanation from the left on this question. It would appear the president's outspoken support of the mosque construction at ground zero has lead to many of these stories. However, although political interesting this issue is by no means the most pressing problem facing our republic. That is why it was so curious the president would embark on such a crusade given the state of the economy , skyrocketing unemployment and home foreclosures, the Afgan war, and the nightmare to world peace the Iranians pose should they join the nuclear club. How about some priorities? I know this sort of thing takes our mind off these vexing issues and divides the nation but is it prudent to be highlighting this mosque at ground zero as one of your top priorities given the gravity of some of our more pressing issues?
