EXACTLY! Big 10+2 is about the worst conference outside of the Big Least. Hell, even the ACC is a better conference.

I just checked MSU's schedule and I saw that they don't play a single conference, only teams! Is it the same for UT?

Here's the key thing: Win enough games against those team and you get to play again in December or January. Probably the same thing for UT.
