It was indeed a beautiful day/night in Big Orange Dooley Country!

The crowd and VolWalk were fantastic--much bigger than that Spoiled Brat's was last year.  I guess he will say he turned out that big crowd Saturday night.

I might have recognized one face or two on the Vol Walk.

Coach Dooley enjoys coaching and the team looked organized, determined, and like they enjoyed playing hard for him.

Simms looked cool and much improved from the Spring Game.

It was great to see Gus, PlumberVol, Rudedog, Wolfie, Popcorn Volhunter, and SewaneeVol high above Gate 21 and under DaButchy's Skybox.  I enjoyed the brief fellowship.  I sure wish they could have listened to me longer, but they all seemed in a hurry to leave.   They begged me to take a picture of them, which I did, and put it on the internet, which I will not.    Evidently UT has revived Dr. Joe Johnson's Volhalla retirement village plan of years ago because ALL of those guys are now sitting under the overhang and near the rest rooms and first aid stations.  All we needed was Monte Kiffin & Jr. Soprano.  I don't think that much brain power has gathered since Knowledge or Thomas Jefferson last dined alone.

I was nice to meet the great PirateVol.  I forgot to ask where Basilio was sitting.

I must love some of you guys, because these pics are a pain to transfer until I get my main computer cured.  I will try to post these pics as fast as I can.:

Tell the entire fanbases of Mississippi, Mississippi State (University - home of the allustrous Bulldawgs, Grrrrr!!!), Georgia, Louisiana State, Kentucky, Florida, South Carolina, the entire state of Alabama, and especially Vanderbilt to bite me.

Kesling's Village:

UT great under Coach Battle and Coach Majors, Roland James, being interviewed:

OMG, the new facade looks so much better than that piece of Gainesville slop:

Michael Munoz--a class act who was berated by UT fans on 1180 in typical pathetic fashion.:

I would guess there were only 5,000 empties.  Tickets were selling near or above face value.  Many, many wanting tickets.:

Again, it was a great crowd.  Coach Dooley said he was anxious.:

Beautiful Big Orange Welcome!:

Some SPS faces in the crowd.:

As always, great pictures Sky.

Gus,

Thanks.  If PlumberVol would get me a better camera and MRM would get me some better seats , I could be the Ansel Adams of SPS.

Pirate didn't come with us at halftime.
Sky came to our section late in the game and
met the Pirate.
