This is the quietest I ever remember SPS after a UF game.

At least the team didn't quit. Good effort till the end. Urban without Tebow looks very pedestrian. When Simms was able to move, good things happened. Sitting in the pocket like a statue? Not working. Running game never got started. Lot of young guys stepped it up today.

What's the word on Schofield? Heard he was out. If so, UT will be starting two true frosh on the O-line.

Special teams still suspect. Not able to make any plays. Kick off out of bounds.
Lincoln did well. Oku looks slow. Simms just doesn't look SEC quality. Maybe they can get him there by the end of the year. Next year could look pretty good.

Where is the hello are our great d-ends. Hughes looks like a beast against the run. But the ends can't get any rush. Wilcox needs to go to the booth so he can see the field. looks like Chavis on 3rd and long.

Prolly the best comparison is 1994, even tho the outcome wasn't as bad. UT wasn't gonna win this game in a zillion years, and everyone knew it. Hence the non-conversation.

You're correct, at least they weren't humiliated like last week, but horrible errors still kicked them in the at the end.

"Tony, when are we going to beat Florida?"

Sent from my suite in Durham after watching old droopie dog take an -kicking from Saban.

Guess the vawls    will blame the refs.  Your coach sucks.  Your team sucks and your school sucks.  Does you bball coach recognize his house yet?

Tennessee had their chances and screwed them up. The fake punt, the INT in the end zone, and kick out of bounds were all killers. Take out 2 of those 3 and the game goes to overtime. At least they didn't quit like last week.

As far as this board being quiet, there's only about 20 or so posters in the sports section these days and half of them are fans of other schools. Looks like one or two posters ran off a bunch of people.

I disagree about Wilcox. He did a piss poor job when Florida got in passing situations. Our only chance against these guys was to blitz and create TOs to give our O a short field. Instead, it was 3rd and Chavis ALL DAY LOOOONNNGGGG!

The out of bounds kickoff was bad, but I know what they were trying to do. Florida had a lineman on the 30 yard-line and they were trying to kick it to him. But the kicker just kicked it to hard and too far to the sideline. I was behind the play before the kick and I was thinking to myself about how they should kick it to #96. They tried it, just screwed it up.

Special teams...special teams...special teams. They suck and have for the past decade. This loss is not because of Simms or Wilcox or Chaneys piss poor coaching. This loss has been on the radar for several years. It is a fact of life for Vol fans and we will be lucky if they win 10 games in 2 years. The cupboard is bare and that cant be fixed over night.

The team played hard, they tackled well and did the best they could. However, the phake punt was so obvious I was screaming for the Vols to take a timeout and get reset. I simply cannot believe the coaching staff did not see it coming. Not only is the team inexperienced, the coaching staff is too. Out of all the mistakes the coaches and team made....that phake punt was the final dagger and the coaches just stood there like a bunch of high school coaches. They were cl;ueless. Whoever is coaching the special teams should be removed from the payroll today. This team is as bad at special teams as any I have ever seen at UT and that says it all. Absolutely pathetic special teams....
